This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.
Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.
Keep in mind they can get busy on the weekends and on holidays.

This is by far the best Greek spot in Astoria. I’ve been coming here for years when I lived in the neighborhood and when I come to visit NYC. My fave is still the Greek salad, lamb fricasé and teramosolata! Waiters and owners are super friendly and don’t forget the FREE Greek dessert!
Solid old school restaurant. Serves a lot of fish / seafood. They don't have gyros here. We had the beefteki which are like hamburger patties but a lot thicker and the lamb souvlaki. Both dishes were tasty and the service was good.

You can almost always fund a table at Stamatis. The food is some times better than others. Not one of the best Greek Food places , but its decent I suppose. The atmosphere for me takes 5 stars. I love the interior. It feels like I am back home ? with all the paintings around , it's very very pretty ?.
