Honestly great spot, got the fired pickles , tomato soup and grilled cheese and the espresso martini.Espresso Martini 3/5 - very small cup also lacks a good flavor. Tried better places in NYC. Just avoidFried Pickles 5/5 - honestly best I have ever tried do recommend!Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese - 3.5/5 : Tomato soup feels like it was poured out of a can, grilled cheese was okay a little over done ; avoid too. Also place is on the pricier side - but has a good vibe I’ll stop by again and try something else. If you are the owner and reading this - give me some good recommendations for next time ;)

It was easy to make a brunch reservation for a party of 5 on Google. When we arrived, they were cleaning our table and was seated within 10 mins. Three of us opted to participate in the bottomless boozy brunch, which was $20 on top of our entree. There were a few drinks selections like mimosas, bloody Marys, rum punch, and beer. We ordered an assortment of entrees like the steak and egg melt, green eggs and ham, breakfast nachos, and fried chicken and biscuits. While the nachos were good, I didn't see what made them a breakfast item. The toppings were tasty and cheesy as expected. The fried chicken and biscuit was a little underwhelming as I thought I had ordered the chicken and waffles. The sandwich had breaded chicken breast that was coated in some type of hot sauce. It didn't seem like it was made fresh and was quite thin. The best thing I had was the steak and egg melt. The bread was perfectly toasted and the steak and filling was substantial. It was cheesy and had good flavors. Throughout our meal, our waitress did not really come check on us for drinks, but there was another staff that kept bringing us more bottomless refills. We appreciated him bringing us mini carafes each time. I think we each had about 4 drinks and felt decently buzzed. However, after the brunch, 2 of us felt sick with intense stomachaches. Overall, the service and ambiance was good for a nice hangout with friends. I wouldn't recommend the bottomless brunch since I don't know what they mixed their drinks with and it made us feel sick.

All the recommendations I heard for this place were well-deserved. It's such a cool and trendy bar and I totally understand why it is so popular.

My group had a great time at Sweet Afton. We went there on a Wednesday evening (7PM). We booked reservations through Resy, but was able to find a great table when we got there. Our server was very cool and gave us pretty good tips on food to order, was okay with asking the chef for modifications to our order, and was attentive to our needs.I always have a good time at Sweet Afton, so happy to say that the service and food/drinks are staying consistently well.

We had an amazing time! We live in the area and we come here as often as we can! Giselle was really helpful in getting our reservation ready for my girlfriend’s birthday and even remembered me when we came in and made sure we had the booth we reserved! :) And our server, Natalie was the absolute best and helped elevate our already amazing experience! And compliments to the chef on the amazing food! Those Thanksgiving egg rolls were out of this world! Thank you so much, Sweet Afton for making my girlfriend’s birthday a night to remember!??

I went on a solo Valentine's Day date around 6pm at the Sweet Afton and had a great time. The bar was well-lit and the music wasn't too loud where I couldn't hear myself think, which is usually the case when I'm there later in the night. The service was good and the waitress checked in on me a few times in the hour and a half that I was there.Wanting to try something new, I ordered the Bloody Mary chips alongside my dirty pickle martini. I didn't think this through and ended up with too many "pickle like" flavors and regretted my order. The chips were fine, but I would recommend the popcorn chicken. Someone next to me ordered the Mac and cheese and was raving about it.The martini was well made; the flavors strong but not overpowering. I could barely taste the alcohol in it. For my second drink I asked for something sweet and was given their version of a French 75. This drink was very good and I loved the fizz in it. It was sweet but not overpowering. I'm not sure it's on their menu, so I would ask for it at the bar.By now you've probably realized I'm 2 drinks in and have only had chips to eat. Unfortunately, I did not make better choices the rest of the night, but I am not hungover today so the Universe must have taken pity on my singleness. In conclusion: Go earlier. Get the chicken or the Mac and cheese. Get a few drinks. Bring a responsible friend.

Great place. Though bar service is either great or bad/slow. Depends on the night.

Went here today for the first time for a Sunday brunch and had a wonderful experience. Met with friends around 2pm and it was packed at that time. Our waiter was wonderful, kept checking on us, and we didn't feel rushed to leave despite spending three hours there. I got the avocado toast which was honestly perfect, and we got French toast sticks for the table to share which made the perfect dessert with its sweetness. The ambiance was dimly lit, they had booths to seat groups and a back patio, but the music was louder than I expected. Another thing to note is there is no mirror in the bathroom. I would come back here for sure; thanks for a lovely meal!
