An excellent experience, the food was really good and the service was good too. We enjoyed the Mofongo massively, and the Chicharron de pollo was really excellent. I’d happily come back, and enjoyed everything that I had.

Second time here so that tells you its definitely worth a visit if you haven't been here yet. I'm from Bushwick where amazing Spanish food used to be in abundance not so much anymore so I took a trip to AQ one night in search of PR food since I had just returned from PR and missed the abundance of amazing places to eat that they had there on the island found this place and TBH I went in thinking like this not going to compare to Mami or anything in PR well did I feel like I got slapped with flan in the face 😂 the food held up! For one i had one of the best bacalitos 2nd to Mamis of course perfect crispy around the edges and nicely filled in the middle wifee had the alcapurria and swears by it she a alcapurria fanatic I went with the shrimp mofongo for the second time because it didn't disappoint the 1st time was a hit the 2nd time around also wifee went simple with the fried chicken breast satisfying the star to that dish is the beans well seasoned very flavorful very similar to Mami wife had pernil the 1st time around and loved it she explores the menu a little more im more of if its not broke dont fix it unless I'm craving something specific all and all I will continue to frequent this place you have two new regulars in us keep putting your love into your food establishments like these are needed especially since alot of places are not cooking it the traditional way i feel like its becoming a lost art you are appreciated from these NeWyorK Ricans 🇵🇷💯💯💯

Tasty food, big portions, authentic Caribbean flavor, and attentive service. Only $13 for the lunch special, and it comes with a drink. Music was a tiny bit loud but I guess that’s authentic too lol

Food is delicious. A little understaffed, as it was a very busy Saturday. Hopefully, they'll move to a larger space as it's torture waiting while taking in the smell of that fantastic cooking. Looking forward to my next visit.

First time coming here! Food was definitely worth it! Delicious food, excellent service! Highly recommend! I love the coqui sound when you arrive and when you leave. Very flavorful! Will definitely come back again! I empty my plate! That’s how great it is!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone it's super chill and cozy! The lighting is soft, the music makes me sing and bop and there's a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Its our 2nd time here and we travel 1hr and a half because the food is absolutely bursting with flavor. Every dish offers a delicious variety of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine — from tender pernil to perfectly seasoned arroz con gandules and trifongo each bite delivers comfort and tradition. You can tell a lot of care goes into every plate and everyone is friendly and efficient.
This spot is a hidden gem for anyone craving bold flavors in a laid-back setting. Highly recommend for any type of night.

A recommendation that went above the hype. I came to dine here with my parents and they are VERY critical of Puerto Rican food as natives. With each bite of the fritura we tried: alcapurrias, sorrullitos with mayoketchup, and relleno de papa my family and I were immersed back into the pueblos in Puerto Rico. They liked the food so much they said they would come back and that is saying something. Also, when you come in the coqui sounds go off. This place is a must eat at! The pasteles are awarding winning and we think they are good as people who make pasteles every Christmas. The Tripleta tastes better than the ones I have had in PR honestly.

Though I waited a half hour and they did let me know about the wait which I appreciated. I wanted to be on the waitlist. I waited to eat here, built up my appetite. you can wait awhile if you want to eat there or you can take out. So just warning you. Everything was fresh . Everything tasted really good. It was good food. Some I felt was overcooked but overall good.

I had food catered from the Freakin Rican for a baby shower and the food was delicious! My guest commented on how good the food tasted and asked for leftovers to take home :)

Not impressed this time around the alcapurrias were overly cooked and so were the rellenos de papa. The Restaurant was in my top three could had been a bad day but now I would question. Judge for yourself.

This place is so charming- loved the vibes! From the Salsa music playing to the coqui sounds in the background and the Puerto Rican decor - it took me back to the islands of Puerto Rico! Not only was the vibe on point but so was customer service, very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious as well. I ordered the Pernil with arroz con gandules and the pernil was served shredded - juicy and flavorful! They give you good sized portions and it’s served with a nice salad and avocado- felt like I was eating at abuelas house! This is the type of place you go to when missing your Abuelas cooking or missing the food from the islands. Authentic Puerto Rican food and flavors! Will definitely be back and I definitely recommend.

Ordered from here a few times, got food poisoning twice. Thought maybe the first time was a fluke but nope. Beware. Currently experiencing the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had and had to take my wife to the hospital..
