The Strand Smokehouse

I recently moved to the LIC / Astoria neighborhood this past summer and I was in search for a local, restaurant/ bar that offers a hearty food/appetizer menu along with a fire drink menu. We used to love the strand before it changed administration. It was affordable and enjoyable. Today we ordered a delivery and it was really overpriced for very little food. The brisket was bland and the chips are just that, random bland chips, what is wrong with fries? A very disappointing experience.

Last night my boyfriend and I hosted a couple of friends to celebrate at our apartment. We ordered the Spread for Six for delivery. Every time we've eaten at the strand for the past few months the food has been incredible, the service has been wonderful, and I crave it the next day. This take out experience was just as great!
