I ordered larb phu nim which is a soft shell crab salad and it was so nice and crunchy if you dont like strong smell of fish sauce you can have them adjust it I ordered it as it is and noticed while eating how much sauce it has but it was overall good. I had the crab rice for to go and had it the next day and it was still good.

Thong Lor is a wonderful Thai restaurant in Astoria with many dish options that you can’t find at your usual Thai establishment. I visited for lunch and really enjoyed the khanom jeen namya pu and khao soi neau. The namya reminded me of my mother’s cooking and the neau in the khao soi was perfectly tender. Aom, the hostess and server, was very warm, friendly, delightful, and sweet. I even returned later for dessert (in lieu of dinner!). Moreover, the restaurant is beautiful and clean with an ambiance that is perfect for a romantic date, and the AC was refreshing and ice cold on this 90-degree summer day—I felt like I was back in Thailand, esp with Aom and the staff’s warm and kind hospitality. Khob khun maak kha!

Disappointed for the second time on weekends, the food is not good, the cook works very fast just to get the orders out and the food is not of quality, I called to make my complaint because I have always counted on them, they are close to my house and I liked the food, they told me that they would call me or refund my money and neither of the two things were fulfilled, I will never order again $20 dollars 💸 it’s not much but i put in the garbage 🗑️
My favorite Thai restaurant in NYC. Came with a party of SEVENTEEN for Father’s Day and Emma and Boom did a 5/5 star job serving us on very short notice. The food was awesome, it looked beautiful and they decorated for Father’s Day!
If you ask for Thai spicy they will actually give you Thai spicy 😛
