Food yummy and delicious and service are amazing and top 30,000 % and the best atmosphere so wonderful placeVegetarian options: It's amazing veggie sooooo great and delicious
Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.

Absolutely loved our meal at this beautiful Italian spot in Astoria and understand now the rave reviews they get!We loved every dish, they are serving up a mix of traditional and modern regional Italian cuisine. The food and service were both great, here are the must try dishes: Lobster Salad? Egg Yolk Ravioli with truffle? Tortelloni with Foie Gras & Ricotta? Black Sea Bass with zucchini noodles Olive Oil Cake with olive oil gelato
I dined at the suggestion of Big Joe G and I can't say that I am as enthusiastic about Trattoria L'incontro as he was. I entered via the 31 St entrance and I immediately smelled a funky aroma in the hallway. I sat down and listened to an incredibly long list of specials and then I ordered. I went with the Octopus and the Black ink Pasta. The Octopus was tasty, but I didn't think that the Black ink Pasta was anything great. The complimentary Focaccia was very tasty. My server was very friendly. The interior and exterior of the building need some love. I'm on the fence about returning.
