We had such a wonderful time with our son & daughter-in-law. Had just arrived from Georgia & celebrated birthdays. The food & service were outstanding & The Stewart House made our evening extra special. Love this place!

We ordered an impossible burger and sliced prime rib sliders. My burger came with no cheese and was so dry and cold , my husbands slider were cold as well and the sauce that came with it was almost empty, there may have been a tablespoon in the container if that. This was our second time here -the first time being years ago.I don’t think they’ll be a 3rd time😑

A very eclectic place. Restored hotel restaurant in Athens NY. A charming, quirky type of place Menu reasonable selection Service very good. A very nice father's day dinner!

Just had the most amazing impromptu experience! A quick but delicious dinner in their formal dinner where the decor was stunning to say the least. The food, the presentation, the service were all outstanding! The three of us could not have enjoyed the evening anymore than we did. A million thanks yous to the staff and ownership!!

Great place to dine. Wonderful food in comfortable setting. Just wish it was closer to Albany😉

Love the setting, food, and their outdoor area in summer, but underwhelmed for inside dining. Beautiful space. Friendly, but unpolished staff for a place this pricey. Been three times and I'm always slightly disappointed. Salads too big and falling off the plates, hot soup served cold, main dishes a bit bland. They could serve smaller portions for a bit less; every dish is just bigger not better. Menu looks great, but just not flavorful. I will keep trying bc I want them to succeed and the space is great. Also, had reservations and still waited 20 mins.

We wanted a nice dinner and were recommended to go to the Stewart house, it did not disappoint! Such a cool/unique vibe, we ended up sitting in the tavern which was a more casual (but fun) vibe! It also happened to be burger night which was a great deal! Delicious meal and a beer. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time. This was a meeting place 1/2 way for each couple ( 1 hour or so ride for each). We had a wonderful time. Our waitress was friendly and attentive . We had a spacious private table and the food was well prepared and delicious. We appreciated the interesting and delicious vegetables included in several of our meals and having our water replaced whenever needed. We also enjoyed the historical , cozy ambiance. Our only complaint was the limited menu. We would have appreciated more salad options, a larger wine and beer ( including drafts ) selection and a larger dessert selection. Even if not much can be stored due to the remote location in winter, ice creams with different toppings such as liquors , hot fudge and warm fruit could be stored easily or perhaps, warn fruit crisps or cobblers.

Cowboy steak, good drinks and cozy atmosphere made for a great treat for a cold winters night!

Dinner was delicious and as always service was amazing. The decorations just added to the adorable ambiance.

As vegetarians there wasn't much to choose from. The restaurant is very pretty and that's the main reason we chose to go there. We went at the beginning of October and had a nice dinner - shared the burrata appetizer and each of us had a salad. My husband had french fries and I had a yummy cornbread in a small cast iron pan. All good. Last week they sat us at a table where the draft from the door opening repeatedly made it very cold to sit there. We asked to move, and they moved us. The food was horrible!! The burrata came in a cast iron pan but everything in it was cold, my "bread" came as toast, and I suspect it was stale and so they toasted it. Onions were everywhere in every conceivable form - grilled (but cold), pickled, mixed into the butter, ugh!! Maybe if you are a meat eater you will do better than we did. When I asked the waitress what she might recommend for vegetarians (some restaurants will put together something from their "sides" on other dishes) she pointed out the two salad offerings. Probably not going back, which is too bad because the restaurant is in an old building which is very well maintained and pretty.
