“Wonderful local Pizzeria. The penne with vodka sauce is a king’s feast! The first time we came in was the weekend we moved up the lake and the waitress was incredibly kind to our daughter. Afterwards our daughter said “that’s my favorite person I’ve met so far.” They also helped us take care of a delivery mix up from the Hudson Stella’s super quickly and graciously. Definitely a community staple!”

“On a Sunday afternoon during our weekend stay in Hudson we ware lucky enough to get a table here and what a treat that was!We got some appetisers and threes different mains for us to try. For a moment it felt like we are in Tuscany and not in Hudson.A definite recommend! It may be our favourite Gem!!!”

“We stopped by this cool little cafe in Cairo on our way back home to NYC after a quick weekend in Windham. The people who work there are so warm and friendly. We ended up getting an iced latte and some of their delicious pastries, the chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a pack of their salted chocolate chip cookies. They were kind enough to include a small madeleine on top of my latte. Everything tasted so good, it’s a shame they’re so far away. Definitely worth a stop if you’re ever in that area! :-)”

“The thing that blew me away is the beauty of the menu and people. Everything on the menu works together and against itself. Somehow on 1 menu there is pate, porridge, pasta, bologna, a $15 shrimp, foie gras, and a cocktail with the word poo in it. It's like the rest of Hudson- a group of people doing whatever makes them happy and it's great. We went here twice in 18 hours. The menu changed - somehow The decor is quirky, the staff is friendly and answered everyone of my questions, the food is decadent and incredibly well executed The kitchen is exposed - and silent. Somehow through a lunch rush and brunch rush everything was spot on and not a single shout from the kitchen - perfectly orchestrated. The bologna sandwich - velvety and decadent. Only a few ingredients - but well thought out. Couldn't be made any better. The friggen crepe - fluffy and flat at the same time. Beautiful flavor - maybe buttermilk? Some other acid? Charred and barely cooked at the same time. Makes no sense The tartare - incredibly flavorful with some crunchy bits of celery? or something. The bread was just very toasted white bread. Simple and perfect The porridge - modeled as a congee with flavorful chili oil and a barely poached egg Teccione pasta - mushrooms and chives in a thin butter sauce - so rich but still light”

“Don't be fooled... Although the "VV" designation on the menu means that the dish is vegan, there are many more things on the menu that can be veganized! Tamale? ✅ Loaded fries? ✅. Food is quite delicious! Staff is really nice but the place can get overloaded and a touch slow at peak times.”

“I was away for the weekend with my wife in the area. I had heard so much about this place so I decided to give it a try. I assume the person that took my order was the owner and he was very friendly and pleasant. My sandwiches were made fairly quickly and I brought them back to where I was staying. We had two bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on a bagel and they were wonderful and the coffee was delicious as well.”
“We got married at Vanderbilt Lakeside in August 2023 and had a wonderful experience working with Henrietta and Matt after stumbling upon the venue on Airbnb. It was meant to be because we later figured out that we had frequented Henrietta’s bar, Night of Joy, in Brooklyn when we first started dating and her amazing aesthetic really comes through. We had our closest friends stay with us at the house for the weekend and hosted 100 guests. The look and feel of the space is uniquely chic and quirky all at once with beautiful modern and vintage accents. It's quite whimsical which makes for awesome wedding photos - we didn’t need any additional decor, except for flowers. The backyard/deck space and lakeside views were exquisite in late summer sunshine. The day of our wedding the rain held out for us and we were able to have our ceremony on the lawn, facing the lake and had dinner under a tent on the deck with additional seating in the adjacent room with the sliding doors fully open, and dancing in the bar room under the disco ball. The lawn games and pool table added to the summery and fun atmosphere.Henrietta was very clear in her communication, very responsive, patient throughout our planning process from beginning to end, and offered recommendations for other vendors and services, which were really helpful to us. Henrietta and Matt were also super helpful and flexible in assisting us with our food and beverage selections, answering our many many questions, and providing staff (who were all friendly and professional) when needed. All of the food was truly excellent and everything was served on time. The grilled cheese sandwiches and handcut fries we had as afterparty snacks were a massive hit. Henrietta was also around and available to assist throughout our wedding weekend, which we really appreciated and she communicated well with all of our vendors. We’re so grateful that we found Vanderbilt Lakeside and will forever cherish the memories of our wedding there. We highly recommend it!”
“Celebrated the New Year at an event hosted here, and enjoyed the great Korean cuisine, the bartenders were amazing, and the bathrooms were amazing works of art with glow iridescent paint.”
“Cute little coffee shop with store and gallery. Coffee is pretty good and they have packed snacks and pastries but only in morning because it sells fast. Only a couple of tables to sit.”

“One of our favorite places, if you’re in the area and like cinnamon rolls look no further! Nina’s cinnamon rolls are some of the BEST. We’re so excited to work with her for our wedding cake!Dietary restrictions: Nina does offer a selection of gluten and dairy free desserts that are delicious!”
“What a gem! Was visiting from NYC and stopped by for brunch. Loved George and his team, they were so welcoming and accommodating. Food was delicious. Recommend coming here a thousand times over.”

“Recommended by Kerri at Owls Hoot Barn (my Airbnb host who I also recommend!). Definitely worth going to check out if you’re up here — sandwich was amazing and Mate Latte with oat was great too. The servers and mission of the deli puts a cherry on top of the cozy experience going in. Definitely recommend if you’re in or out of town for breakfast or lunch.”

“Relaxing lowkey spot with some major grandma vibes. Classic American breakfast food done right. Fluffy ENORMOUS pancakes, perfect home fries, and tasty crispy bacon. Service was quick and the owners are lovely. Don't be surprised if you have to wait up to 10 minutes to be seated, it's small and clearly word has gotten out about this gem. Highly recommend!”

“Cute little place in Catskill. Nice ambiance but could use a little more "ambiance" and decor. Some parts of the building definitely feel like a home turned restaurant, not ideal. Anyway, place was busy but the service was still good and the waitress was lovely. I know how hard it is to find good help nowadays so I can empathize with them running around on a Friday night. Food came out warm and as ordered. Steak was great but definitely a small portion. Still it was tasty. Penne vodka sauce was creamy and not too greasy. Chicken was added but it was sliced way too thin for my liking and was a bit dry, probably because of how thin it was. All meals came with fresh rolls and Gorgonzola butter which was okay but not quite "salty" enough for a warm roll. Had a margarita with orange liqueur and that was delicious. We will definitely go back and give it another try.”
“The food was ?? amazing! The Cafe is so welcoming, great decor and just fits! The owner is the sweetest and instantly made us feel like we belonged! From the moment we walked in, I knew we would be there a while because we didn't want to leave!Amazing food, amazing service and staff, amazing atmosphere, amazing music.Just loved this Cafe and plan to make it a repeat location of our girls lunch dates!”

“I was in Catskill for work, and I was surprised to see a Dominican restaurant. I'm so glad I went in. Serving size was huge. Price is very reasonable. The food was fantastic. I felt like I was back in the Bronx. Restaurant was clean and service was friendly. I'll definitely return.”

“So I had the most well balanced and thoughtful BLT of my life on Saturday. Had to come back Sunday to try other bites - breakfast burrito was also ideally ratio-ed (consistent precision clearly) and each b-fast burrito component was intentionally cooked to perfection. But I gotta say, the pastries blew my top off. My goodness. Specifically their Sweet Bun - a sweet and savory matrimony made in Heaven, a crispy sugary glazed crust encasing an angelic cloud like center - this bun slapped me back to being a child again. This decedent yet tastefully crafted bundle of love has secured Willa’s as a mandatory stop whenever I’m back in town. Special shout out to Greg for the love he clearly pours into his pastries.”

“I was looking for a coffee-ish shop with good food and stumbled upon Quinnie’s. It’s a little bit outside of Hudson but worth it to ditch the overwhelming crowds on Warren Street. The food was delicious, counter service is always a plus and they have delicious coffee. It’s a great place to hang out in the nicer weather too because they have a little patio area AND they sell cocktails!!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Outside area for kids not a lot of food options unless your kid’s bougieWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp”

“This review is long overdue. Bar Bene is our favorite spot to come to when we are in Hudson. They have a beautiful backyard firepit and a great wine/charcuterie menu, which combined make the perfect relaxing evening. The owner and employees are all so friendly and warm. What a fabulous place!”

“Got an espresso to stay. Came with a little cookie which was a nice touch. My pics don't include the spoon cause i left it at the pickup station. Friendly staff and unique environment. Smells like leather and machine oil so if you like that then it's the coffee shop for you.”
“This is a can’t-miss spot! Subversive is easily our favorite year-round beer + dinner joint. The folks who run it are the best, and the burger in particular is excellent — not to mention that the New York Nectar IPA is my favorite beer in the region. Amazing outdoor space after a hike (or a ski run) & the heated tent and inside are perfect on a chilly night.”
“Lives up to is name, adorable, fun and friendly old time ice cream parlor feel. Nice selection of ice cream flavors and sundae and shake selections. Good prices, highly recommend!”

“Let me tell you—if you have the opportunity to mosey your way into Hudson, check this place OUT! Honestly, this place could’ve served me dog food and I wouldn’t have cared because Kat the waitress made it the best meal I’ve had in years. I’ve never had a better waitress. So accommodating, so fun, and absolutely hysterical. I will 1000% come back if Kat is here—thank you so much!!!!”
