Subversive Malting & Brewing is a restaurant and brewery that offers a unique experience. They do their own malting, which makes them super unique and allows them to be hyper local focused in their sourcing. The beer is great, with a good, diverse selection. One standout is the Forbidden Fruit, a black current sour ale that was light and punchy. The food is delicious and amazing, with an incredible selection of veggie and vegan burgers plus meat options. The veggie burger is soo unbelievably good, better than all others. Other popular meals include the Vegan Shroom & Swiss burger, the (real) panko chicken sandwich, the Mediterranean Sampler, and the sweet potato and black bean tacos. The mushroom burger is the best. The beer slushie is also a favorite. The service is really good, with pleasant and nice staff. There are great outside areas to chill, including around fire pits. It is a great place to hang out on a beautiful day.
