“We were out and about in Hudson today and we were a little hungry so we stopped into kitties and I had probably one of the best egg sandwiches I ever had. I highly recommend the egg sandwich with sauerkraut. The vibe in there was very comfortable iced coffee Was nice and strong. They had a great bakery selection and a lot of local products. So if you’re coming out of the train station in Hudson, I say swing by kitties you won’t be sorry.”

We had a smashburger and fries, the deviled eggs, and the hand cut chicken bites which I loved and were served with the tastiest ranch sauce I've ever had. “We had a most extraordinary Sunday brunch at The Maker Cafe yesterday. We were there by chance, around 1 pm, and are so glad we found this lovely spot with a most attentive staff. We're not spring chickens, and we much appreciated the help getting seated, the delicious butternut squash soup, the fabulous eggplant alla parmgiana sandwich, the broccoli salad. Thanks to you all - we loved it, and we look forward to coming to the restaurant some evening soon.”

“Upper Depot hosted an informal get together for graduates of Claverack Elementary School this past Friday. The food, drinks, and staff were all awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to hold an event at this facility in the future, or just have a beer or drink (and some food) after a long day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

“My husband and I had our 90-guest wedding at the Vanderbilt on 6/8/24 and it could not have been any better. We found the Vanderbilt on Airbnb when looking for a unique wedding venue, visited it in January of 2023, and booked it instantly- didn’t even see another venue. As stated in previous reviews, Henrietta made the planning process as easy as possible. We communicated mainly via email, but she allowed us to come to the space as often as we needed (I think between both of our families we were there 3 times). She also provided a list of vendors that previous wedding parties had used at the Vanderbilt, which I used for our planner, tent company, shuttle company and photographer (all great). When it came time for the tasting, we were provided with an extensive menu of food and drinks curated by Matt. We were blown away by the food. As the wedding day approached, Henrietta was easy to communicate with and flexible. She helped us plan a thorough rainy day plan B, and was the bearer of good news when she called me 2 days prior to tell me the weather looked good and we were going with plan A. The weekend of the wedding was incredible. Our families stayed in the 8 rooms upstairs Friday and Saturday night. Henrietta and Matt were in early on Saturday to get everything prepared. Their team was incredible. After the ceremony, Henrietta greeted us with champagne and a congratulations. When cocktail hour ended and we realized we were so busy that we didn’t even eat our appetizers, Henrietta put together a plate for us and brought it over. I’ve heard from a number of guests that the food was the best they’ve had at a wedding, and I agree. It’s important to note that the staff was also FUN to have around. Bartenders and servers interacted with guests and kept the energy light and fun. The next morning, Matt prepared a great breakfast (much needed) for those staying at the Vanderbilt, even including some leftovers of our banana pudding dessert from the night before. Now let’s quickly talk about the space. The Vanderbilt Lakeside is the most unique space I’ve ever seen. Each room has its own personality and is decorated meticulously and beautifully. I only had to bring in decorations for the tables, as the venue itself was already perfect. The deck was a perfect fit for our 90-person dinner. The lawn, outdoor bar, and lawn games were a hit for those who wanted to chill out rather than dance. The Bar room was the perfect size for our musicians and a dance floor. The rooms upstairs are clean, all about the same size, and all have their own bathrooms to make for a comfortable stay. Overall, I cannot recommend the Vanderbilt enough. We’re racking our brains for an excuse to host another event there. Henrietta and Matt are incredible to work with!”

“Found this spot on Google while I was upstate and thought it was worth the 20 mins drive. It was!!! The pastries are delicious, service was great and tons of options to choose from. I loved it so much I even bought a t-shirt and 2 dog baguette toys for my pups. If you’re in the Hudson Valley area, and hungry (… and rich! lol), def make a stop here”

“The informal, relaxed cafe made it easy choice for family and friends to brunch. Menu is great, made on-site and biscuits choices are great, for breakfasts and lunch, parking is easy & Bubba is a casual place, close by Center Hudson and main routes. We recommend highly!”

“Went for the first time, today, on our way back to Long Island, from Glens Falls. We bought an apple raspberry pie which was highly recommended by a friend who stops by your farm regularly. I must say it was the best pie I have ever had. The filling was so incredible! The crust was outstanding. I have never had or made a crust that has come close to yours. Thank you!”

“Our adult children, from Brooklyn and upstate, and I, were excited to plan a surprise birthday luncheon for their Dad and my husband. The atmosphere was nice enough, and our server, Cat, was outstanding! The drinks were nice but they ran out of a beer we ordered by 1:30 pm on Saturday. Otherwise, aming a party of six, we had 4 beers, 2 Juice Bombs, 2 Health Margaritas, a glass of Chardonnay, and 3 other drinks...a total of 2 drinks per person. To start we ordered a plate of raw oysters and deep fried artichokes. Both choices were fine. We also ordered 3 Salad Nicoises which were a huge disappointment and should have been renamed, A Small Smattering 0f Tiny Greens With A Hint Of Dried Tuna, Whole Intact Garlic Clove, a 3 Discolored Green Beans Marinated in Vinegare with 2 Baby Potatos. If you were envisioning a classic Salad Nicoise, buyer beware. A 3 ounce portion of seared medium rare tuna or oil packed canned tuna, together with hard boiled eggs, Nicoise olives, and tomatoes with vinagrette were missing in action. The salad appeared to have been pepared with an eye to the least amount of preoaration”

“We hired Juan Carlos and Gina to cater our family rehearsal dinner, and they exceeded every expectation. From the start, they made the entire process incredibly easy with excellent communication and a seamless planning experience. The food was truly outstanding - fresh tortillas made on-site were a huge hit - everyone went back for seconds and thirds!! Their homemade flan was also a highlight of the evening. Every dish was delicious, thoughtful, and beautifully prepared.

What truly set them apart was both their hospitality and presentation. They were phenomenal hosts, making sure every guest was taken care of and well-fed while allowing us to relax and enjoy the evening. They also presented the food beautifully, using clay pots and elegant serving pieces rather than standard catering trays, which elevated the entire experience. Juan Carlos and Gina brought warmth, professionalism, and exceptional food to our event, and I would trust them with any gathering without hesitation.”

I also got a red velvet muffin, which was tasty but on the dry side.

Went in and ordered take out and it was about a 25-30 minute wait. Next time I'll order ahead if they take orders like that.
Their breakfast menu looks good too, so I will be trying something off that menu in the near future.”

“So I've seen the ads for this place, we'll just so happens i had a job yesterday in Hudson to do. I asked my brother who works with me ,do you wanna try this place? We both agreed to get turkey club sandwiches....Oh my ,when i picked them up they must've weighed a pound and a half each and they didn't disappoint! I have to say it was one of the best clubs I've had and for the price it's well worth it. Next time I'm there I'm going to try a few different things. Great business go check them out!!!”

They are always kind and patient when taking my family's large order and they are one of the few places that still gives you a free two liter when you purchase over a certain amount. The facility is clean and well organized, with lovely decor, and the prices are great.”

“This Subway is located in a gas station area with a laundromat in the back. Ordered several times on my phone app and they usually get the subs as I ordered. On two occasions, I asked for the parmesan vinaigrette on the side and they added it to the sandwich. Overall, one of the better Subway Shops.”

I had a Bacon Bleu burger, and the others had a Turkey Club, a buffalo chicken wrap and a Patty Melt. Everything was as you hope for in a well run diner. Reasonably priced and attentive service.”

“Giving this place five stars because I ordered an iced coffee and the barista filled the cup with the appropriate amount of coffee and milk and then added ice. Instead of filling it up with ice first and a splash of milk. Which means you have to spend seven dollars on a coffee that you can drink in one sip. Which is what most places do! I appreciate you!”

“They catered my wedding 12 years ago, and when I worked in Hudson, my favorite order was Singapore Mei Fun and Pork Buns. I moved away, and I miss them.
