Hubby and I stopped in on a Thursday evening around 9pm and it was quite the lively crowd - not overly crowded where you couldn't move but busy enough for a full bar and standing. We grabbed a table and were confused whether it was table service or not (it is) and settled on wonton nachos as a starter. These were amazing and had the right amount of crunch. Stopped in after a business meeting for lunch and a beer. Wanted a neighborhood pub with character and good food. This unassuming pub was all that. Perfect. Pub has a great history, an upscale pub menu that was very tasty and an attentive bar tender. We sat at a nicely private side table. My fiancée and I just arrived tonight from the city we were starving. Boy, were we glad that we picked this place for dinner while en route via amtrak.We had the Wonton Nacho, State Grill Burger and the Truffle Shuffle Burger. All of it was delicious and our server was so sweet and welcoming, she made us forget that we were anywhere near NYC but closer to a small town kind of hospitality and vibe. We would definitely come back!
