The servers and mission of the deli puts a cherry on top of the cozy experience going in. Definitely recommend if you’re in or out of town for breakfast or lunch.”

“In search of coffee on a trip from Tannersville to Boston, we came across Greater Things (thank you Google!) and loved it! This adorable spot has outstanding coffee, and many options to choose from. Great service, friendly staff, super easy parking - what more could you ask for? My only wish is that Greater Things was closer to my house! I will definitely visit again if I am back in the area.”

“Formerly Carmine's, TJ's Pizza 2 is a casual pizza restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They serve up a variety of Italian, American, and Mexican food including traditional & specialty pizzas, calzones, pasta dishes, subs, wraps, paninis, sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, chimichangas, and desserts. The breakfast menu offers egg dishes, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, waffles, breakfast sandwiches and breakfast sides. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. While traveling through Coxsackie on a snowy day, I decided to stop in at TJ's Pizza 2 for a calzone. The porch steps were a bit slippery, hanging onto the rail and the staff salted the walk before taking my order. The place is order at the counter and there is ample seating in the dining room. I ordered a Steak & Cheese Calzone with Sausage ($11.25 plus tax) which was made to order and ready in about 12 minutes. The calzone was very tasty in a soft and slightly chewy dough pocket filled with shaved steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella & ricotta cheeses, served with a zesty tomato sauce on the side. I enjoyed my hot calzone back in the vehicle while enjoying a caffeinated refreshment and watching the snow fall. I will have to stop by again to try out their breakfast!”

“Love love love this place! We get the same thing every time, Philadelphia rolls, spicy tuna and a side of spicy mayo. It’s always packaged so nicely, they’re fast, pleasant, and everything is clean. There’s no options to dine in, but that’s okay. The food is 100% fresh and delicious each time. I would highly recommend!”

“I had dinner at Red’s for their Sushi and Sake event. It was a Friday night so it was extremely busy, which was to be expected and nice to see. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the restaurant itself had a great ambiance. We got drinks from the bar which were delicious, and the sake tasting was really nice, we plan to take a trip down and do a tour of the sake brewery. The menu is well thought out and creative, for dessert we had the red wine ice cream which I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. It was my first time and I will definitely be back!”

“The manager is such an awesome dude! We were having trouble with the McDonald's app and he tried everything to help. He even tried hooking the phone up to his own personal hotspot! We ended up having to reorder everything but he still let us have the 30% discount from the app and even gave us another 10% off! Lots of respect to you my guy. <3”

If you’re feeling adventurous their specials include some bold dishes! I truly love this place and it made Hudson such a cool town too. I prefer this restaurant to lots of Michelins. This is where you get food with a soul.We especially enjoyed the pig foot rice (it’s boneless and you don’t really see the shape of the pig foot) and stuffed duck neck (it was nothing like what we imagined; it’s kind of like a sausage. The dish has chestnut which is very special!!)Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!!”

“Fantastic food and drinks. Very fresh and carefully crafted. Very nice restaurant inside with good acoustics and lighting. The menu can be a bit difficult to decipher if you’re not familiar with Spanish but the waiters are great at explaining each item, if necessary. We felt a bit bad because we were asking the waiter about everything because we had no idea what we were reading. Overall we had a great experience and would return if we came back to the area again.”

I assume the person that took my order was the owner and he was very friendly and pleasant. My sandwiches were made fairly quickly and I brought them back to where I was staying. We had two bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on a bagel and they were wonderful and the coffee was delicious as well.”

“We got married at Vanderbilt Lakeside in August 2023 and had a wonderful experience working with Henrietta and Matt after stumbling upon the venue on Airbnb. It was meant to be because we later figured out that we had frequented Henrietta’s bar, Night of Joy, in Brooklyn when we first started dating and her amazing aesthetic really comes through. We had our closest friends stay with us at the house for the weekend and hosted 100 guests.The look and feel of the space is uniquely chic and quirky all at once with beautiful modern and vintage accents. It's quite whimsical which makes for awesome wedding photos - we didn’t need any additional decor, except for flowers. The backyard/deck space and lakeside views were exquisite in late summer sunshine. The day of our wedding the rain held out for us and we were able to have our ceremony on the lawn, facing the lake and had dinner under a tent on the deck with additional seating in the adjacent room with the sliding doors fully open, and dancing in the bar room under the disco ball. The lawn games and pool table added to the summery and fun atmosphere.Henrietta was very clear in her communication, very responsive, patient throughout our planning process from beginning to end, and offered recommendations for other vendors and services, which were really helpful to us. Henrietta and Matt were also super helpful and flexible in assisting us with our food and beverage selections, answering our many many questions, and providing staff (who were all friendly and professional) when needed. All of the food was truly excellent and everything was served on time. The grilled cheese sandwiches and handcut fries we had as afterparty snacks were a massive hit. Henrietta was also around and available to assist throughout our wedding weekend, which we really appreciated and she communicated well with all of our vendors.We’re so grateful that we found Vanderbilt Lakeside and will forever cherish the memories of our wedding there. We highly recommend it!”
