“Another reviewer seems to have a personal crisis about Brooklyn and city people, so maybe she had it out for this place because of the "B" word in the name. And it's hard to say what "Brooklyn Style" is...that's a pretty big tent, and even if the people are from Brooklyn, it takes some cajones to name your joint "Brooklyn Style Pizza."Anyway, we were driving through the area and tried this joint. Thankfully, this place was quite good. Initially I thought the pizza was a little boring (very "friendly" sauce, bright, but not too herby, acidic, or sweet). The cheese was very mild in flavor, lacking the nutty bite you get in a typical good slice joint...I'm not sure what it was.But stay with me. Their pizza grew on me. Pizza is personal and I respect their take. Most importantly, points on their dough, which is the hardest part of a pizza to get right. It's hard to get dough airy, thin and toothsome. This one kept a foot in New York but was looking towards Naples with the lightness. Really good on reheat.Garlic knots were straight-up excellent the day we had them. They would be excellent in Brooklyn, too.One request: put your prices on your website, please.”

“I was SO happy to be able to order their bagels and coffee and get them delivered to a nearby nursing home (where I was watching my uncle die from an aggressive cancer).They say in order to take care of others you need to take care of yourself; getting s wonderful hot coffee and food, within minutes, allowed me to have the mindset and strength to get through the tough road ahead.”

“We got married at Vanderbilt Lakeside in August 2023 and had a wonderful experience working with Henrietta and Matt after stumbling upon the venue on Airbnb. It was meant to be because we later figured out that we had frequented Henrietta’s bar, Night of Joy, in Brooklyn when we first started dating and her amazing aesthetic really comes through. We had our closest friends stay with us at the house for the weekend and hosted 100 guests.The look and feel of the space is uniquely chic and quirky all at once with beautiful modern and vintage accents. It's quite whimsical which makes for awesome wedding photos - we didn’t need any additional decor, except for flowers. The backyard/deck space and lakeside views were exquisite in late summer sunshine. The day of our wedding the rain held out for us and we were able to have our ceremony on the lawn, facing the lake and had dinner under a tent on the deck with additional seating in the adjacent room with the sliding doors fully open, and dancing in the bar room under the disco ball. The lawn games and pool table added to the summery and fun atmosphere.Henrietta was very clear in her communication, very responsive, patient throughout our planning process from beginning to end, and offered recommendations for other vendors and services, which were really helpful to us. Henrietta and Matt were also super helpful and flexible in assisting us with our food and beverage selections, answering our many many questions, and providing staff (who were all friendly and professional) when needed. All of the food was truly excellent and everything was served on time. The grilled cheese sandwiches and handcut fries we had as afterparty snacks were a massive hit. Henrietta was also around and available to assist throughout our wedding weekend, which we really appreciated and she communicated well with all of our vendors.We’re so grateful that we found Vanderbilt Lakeside and will forever cherish the memories of our wedding there. We highly recommend it!”

“We've been to Canteen twice (so far) and both dinners were fantastic! The selection of cocktails is creative and explores the wonders of mixology beyond the standard cocktail options. The wine list thoughtfully curated. I was particularly happy to find a rather unusual Müller-Thurgau from Italy's Alto-Adige region as a by-the-glass option. What about the food? Well, that is absolutely remarkable, too: the creativity at Canteen continues seamlessly from glass to plate. That applied to the Burger, the Bouillabaisse, the pork chop, the duck breast, the salmon and the apple galette. Every single dish we had was simply great! I found the service to be particularly friendly and attentive. I am surprised by some of the comments in other reviews. My wife, my son and I found the overall atmosphere at Canteen on both nights very pleasant to say the least and left both times in a cheerful mood. What else can we ask for?”

“I came here back in August with a friend and we both enjoyed the food very much. I had gotten three Carnitas tacos (slow cooked pork) and a tamale, and she got the barbacoa tacos (braised beef). All the food was delicious, although I thought for the price that the tamale was really small. We got their lemonade as well which wasn't too sweet and had a nice kick at the end.Customer service was quick and pleasant. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Overall we really enjoyed our visit here, although I think it's a little pricey for what it is. Still worth it at the end of the day”

The servers and mission of the deli puts a cherry on top of the cozy experience going in. Definitely recommend if you’re in or out of town for breakfast or lunch.”

“Relaxing lowkey spot with some major grandma vibes. Classic American breakfast food done right. Fluffy ENORMOUS pancakes, perfect home fries, and tasty crispy bacon. Service was quick and the owners are lovely. Don't be surprised if you have to wait up to 10 minutes to be seated, it's small and clearly word has gotten out about this gem. Highly recommend!”

The prices are amazing (especially considering it's in NY where everything is overpriced) They have a huge menu with all the normal comfort foods but also have some things that's unique. I actually ordered Meatloaf Parm not only had I never tried it before but had never heard of it before. It was amazing and you get huge portions with a soup or salad . I recommend this place100%”

“Stopped in here during a long road trip from Stowe VT to Harrisburg PA. Previous outstanding reviews are spot on...this place is EXCELLENT! We all had the Smokin' Pig sandwich... YUMMY!!! The meat was flavored so good without having to be smothered with BBQ sauce. It had the perfect amount of sauce. Our sides of cole slaw and baked beans were also EXCELLENT! The gentleman who took our order was super nice and provided great service. We will certainly be back our next trip through.”

“I was looking for a coffee-ish shop with good food and stumbled upon Quinnie’s. It’s a little bit outside of Hudson but worth it to ditch the overwhelming crowds on Warren Street. The food was delicious, counter service is always a plus and they have delicious coffee. “To start off the atmosphere is very refreshing and upbeat. It also is very clean. I got the soft shell crab to start with and it was a great portion on top of being delicious. I also got the 3 fish sushi tacos and let me tell you, I am a sushi connoisseur and they were delightful. The tortillas were the perfect thinness and the flavors popped in the tacos. It was honestly everything I could want or except in a raw taco. Owner was very nice and enjoyed our conversation. I totally recommend this place!”

“Food always consists of plentiful portions served relatively fast. Great for families with kids. Service is pleasant...and there are great views of the Kinderhook creek from the back section. Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)”

“I need to start by saying, I can not possibly express how thrilled and pleased we were with our decision to have our reception at S&S Brewery. We didn't pay anything for decorations, because the ambiance was everything we wanted. The quiet, peaceful, naturally beautiful atmosphere does all of the work FOR FREE. Very spacious, tons of seating, all rustic feel. Don't be shy to show up for an in-person view; you will not be disappointed! The price of the venue is very reasonable and affordable. The venue does not have a kitchen, but food trucks are no strangers to the brewery. And quite possibly my favorite part: the staff. It is VERY clear this is a family run establishment, blood related or not, everyone is family. My husband and I even made a comment that WE felt like their family! Everything turned out better than expected, and we know that is majorly due to S&S Brewery. If you're reading this review, we would absolutely recommend S&S Farm Brewery for your venue needs. FIFTY STARS!”
