“This Shake Shack is decent. The food is good, like all Shake Shacks, and the employees were amazing. The only downside was that it took about 20 minutes for a cheeseburger and fries. It's still a good option for food in the New Baltimore Service Area.”

The staff was warm and welcoming, the vibe lively and pleasant, and the food delicious. The menu was inventive and the portions plentiful, and we felt like we were lucky to have picked this spot. “I love the service. The food is ALWAYS delicious. I’m a sucker for their omelettes. I love a good window seat and to write while I’m there. It’s always clean and everyone is friendly and I love watching all the families and regulars come in with their kids or grand parents. The coffee is good. The parking is endless and they have a ramp for anyone needing the use of it. Desserts galore in tall fridge as soon as you walk in — you can always grab that to go after you finish your meal. Large portions. Excellent prices. I love the place!!”

“My husband and I had our 90-guest wedding at the Vanderbilt on 6/8/24 and it could not have been any better. We found the Vanderbilt on Airbnb when looking for a unique wedding venue, visited it in January of 2023, and booked it instantly- didn’t even see another venue. As stated in previous reviews, Henrietta made the planning process as easy as possible. We communicated mainly via email, but she allowed us to come to the space as often as we needed (I think between both of our families we were there 3 times). She also provided a list of vendors that previous wedding parties had used at the Vanderbilt, which I used for our planner, tent company, shuttle company and photographer (all great). When it came time for the tasting, we were provided with an extensive menu of food and drinks curated by Matt. We were blown away by the food. As the wedding day approached, Henrietta was easy to communicate with and flexible. She helped us plan a thorough rainy day plan B, and was the bearer of good news when she called me 2 days prior to tell me the weather looked good and we were going with plan A. The weekend of the wedding was incredible. Our families stayed in the 8 rooms upstairs Friday and Saturday night. Henrietta and Matt were in early on Saturday to get everything prepared. Their team was incredible. After the ceremony, Henrietta greeted us with champagne and a congratulations. When cocktail hour ended and we realized we were so busy that we didn’t even eat our appetizers, Henrietta put together a plate for us and brought it over. I’ve heard from a number of guests that the food was the best they’ve had at a wedding, and I agree. It’s important to note that the staff was also FUN to have around. Bartenders and servers interacted with guests and kept the energy light and fun. The next morning, Matt prepared a great breakfast (much needed) for those staying at the Vanderbilt, even including some leftovers of our banana pudding dessert from the night before. Now let’s quickly talk about the space. The Vanderbilt Lakeside is the most unique space I’ve ever seen. Each room has its own personality and is decorated meticulously and beautifully. I only had to bring in decorations for the tables, as the venue itself was already perfect. The deck was a perfect fit for our 90-person dinner. The lawn, outdoor bar, and lawn games were a hit for those who wanted to chill out rather than dance. The Bar room was the perfect size for our musicians and a dance floor. The rooms upstairs are clean, all about the same size, and all have their own bathrooms to make for a comfortable stay. Overall, I cannot recommend the Vanderbilt enough. We’re racking our brains for an excuse to host another event there. Henrietta and Matt are incredible to work with!”

“Our favorite shop last couple of years, always something for kids to pick out (cute stationary and toys), yummy olive oils, and all the latte they have (matcha, chai, and black sesame). Friendly staff. Whenever we come back to Kinderhook we always stop by.”

“We tried this place for the first time the other day and will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. We ordered the gyoza, chicken karrage, and chicken yakitori appetizers, habachi noodles with beef, and the house poke. Everything was delicious. Our favorites were the chicken karrage, and our main meals. I ordered a brown sugar bubble tea that was delicious, and will likely try the Hawaiian refresher next visit!”

“While passing through for a short visit to the UAlbany campus, we researched some healthy and affordable lunch options nearby. We are so glad we found Simone's! This place is so cute on the outside, and fast, affordable, and delicious on the inside! The portions were huge, the food was fresh, and the prices were competitive with chains like Chipotle or Panera. 5/5!”

“We happened to be traveling in the area and found the diner online. We popped in and we were blown away. The atmosphere was so clean and pleasant. The waitresses were sweet and attentive. The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. Even though it's an hour and a half away from us we plan on going there again soon. It's worth the drive!!!”

For those who love wine and/or tapas inspired food and/or Jamaican island tunes that play in the background, a stop is a must. We live about an hour away and will definitely be back. “Just think about this for a moment, a small town in our area has just about all of the Jane's flavors. If you're from the area then you should know Jane's is a local hudson valley ice cream maker but you can't always find it around here that easily. Thankfully we have Coxsackie creamery! Not only that, there's so many options. I've never seen this many vegan options. Wahoo! And even better, you can get your ice cream and walk down to the pier to enjoy a perfect summer day :)”
