“To start off the atmosphere is very refreshing and upbeat. It also is very clean. I got the soft shell crab to start with and it was a great portion on top of being delicious. I also got the 3 fish sushi tacos and let me tell you, I am a sushi connoisseur and they were delightful. The tortillas were the perfect thinness and the flavors popped in the tacos. It was honestly everything I could want or except in a raw taco. Owner was very nice and enjoyed our conversation. I totally recommend this place!”

“Lucky ? to have stopped at The Bunker during our stay in Greenbush. We sat at the bar and our server Lauren was so attentive, friendly and made a delicious dirty martini. The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon tacos and Philly cheesesteak, both scrumptious! Actually, I order fish tacos quite often and these were the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely stop in again when traveling through the are.”

“This was my first time here, we were in Albany for appointment and were trying to find a vegan place. I didn’t know most places in Albany are closed on Mondays. Wizard burger blew our minds. The friendly staff were patient as we took a bit to take it all in. The atmosphere was great from the music to the decor, they also have a free library and can play retro video games. Onto the food, my husband had a burger and fries that he said was perfect. I had the Buffalo chik’n sandwich, and fries, I couldn’t finish mine due to the size. It was about 5 tenders cooked perfectly and smothered with Buffalo and ranch. The fries were hot, and not greasy like most places. The price for 2 entrees and 2 Mexican coca-colas were $30. Not bad for an all vegan meal with large portions. I highly recommend Wizard burger, and look forward to going back.”

“An awesome brewery with great food, known nationally for their IPA's. All their food is made in house. There is tons of seating but don't let that fool you, they do fill up quick. They have beer types for everyone to include dark, sour, light, IPA, cider and usually host guest taps. The food menu is pretty extensive and also have something for everyone. Parking usually is pretty easy and the customer service is top notch. Highly recommend this as a must stop destination in Albany, NY!!!”

“A southern brunch that was so good. 4 of us went to celebrate a birthday and we all enjoyed it immensely. I had the Dad and it was absolutely delicious. We loved the fried green tomatoes, and the tater tots. I had a bourbon bacon bloody Mary that was out of this world. “Good mooring! Are you craving some delicious ice cream?! The perfect spot to satisfy the cravings is here. The parking is street parking, but I always find parking no matter when I go. When you first enter the store, it gives you a warm vibe, which is perfect for eating ice cream! I went when it was high noon. When I got to the counter, Sam greeted me right away, and she offered excellent suggestions. It took me a while to decide on what to get because the menu has unique names. Sam offered me samples, which helped me make my decision. She was very professional even though I was standing there for a while, trying to decide what to get with asking for multiple samples. In my personal experience, some people get impatient when you can't decide right away. You can't go wrong with any flavor! The ice cream was super tasty and amazing. The seating area is very cozy and organized. It feels like you got teleported to your living room. One thing that caught my eye was the chess board on the table. Make sure to clean up after yourself because we all know you don't leave garbage around in your living room. Overall, I have to say the experience was amazing because of Sam. Shout out to Sam!”

“We decided to try Albany Ale and Oyster House on a chilly, rainy Wednesday afternoon since we had to be on New Scotland Avenue for an afternoon doctor appointment. I'm so glad we did, and also happy we arrived just as they were opening because we were able to sit at the bar and visit with one of the owners, Mia. We tried a flight of beer opting for all pilsners, one each from Italy France, Czechia and from our own New York region; all tasty, just the right amount of foam and nice and chilled. I ordered the Beyond brat which comes with comes with kale slaw and honey mustard, crispy potato chips in a brown paper bag for soaking up the oil and keeping them crispy, and a mixed green salad with the best sesame honey dressing. I love good salads and this one was perfect, with dressing on each lettuce leaf. Mia said they take their salads seriously, and you can tell. My partner had the Reuben and he proclaimed it the best he ever had. Overall the taste, presentation and preparation of the food was perfect. Combined with the cozy atmosphere and the friendliness of the owner and all who work there; Albany Ale and Oyster House is now one of my top favorites in the areaVegetarian options: In addition to the Beyond Brat they offer Beyond Burger and some interesting salads.”

Everything was perfect from the second you walk in.I had the Veal Luciana, hands down the best I've ever had. This is one of my top dish life time. You have to give them a try. “A ton of fun. They were able to have a group of 5 of us drop in for about an hour. We got a quick tutorial on axe throwing with the various tools and then we were left to do it ourselves with periodic checkins make sure it was going good. The boozy moos served there was also fun. “I would give 100 stars if I could! I go here at least once a week sometimes more. Such a large variety and excellent quality ingredients! One of my favorites is the turkey cranberry Panini. Where else can you get turkey cooked right there in their own oven. I do not like deli meat, which is one of the reasons why I come here! Everything is so fresh and cooked right there. My husband and I get their salads once a week and this says a lot because my husband is not a salad person. He likes the Italian mix salad because it’s everything he would get on a sub without the bread. I would list everything I like here but this review would be pages long. I read some of these other reviews and wonder what planet these individuals are from because anyone giving a negative review is either at a different place or has nothing else better to do than write fake complaints. During Covid this was the only place I would eat because it was that clean! The owner truly cares as does the entire staff! Aside of excellent quality food, this is the only establishment I know that gives back to the community in every way possible. Keep doing what you’re doing guys! We love you!”

“5 star pizza. Place is no frills, but clean and welcoming. Everybody was pleasant to deal with. And when I tell you the pizza is great…..THE PIZZA IS GREAT. “I love this cafe’s lighting and drinks. I enjoy the food but a personal take, I wish they would make the whole menu gluten free since it looks like they would only have to switch to an alternative bread and granola to do so. Their mocha donuts are delicious.”
