“This place is incredible. I rarely come to East Greenbush and I was driving through this morning and found a true gem of the area. The coffee is great, food is amazing and the staff here is so friendly and inviting. Indoor and outdoor seating, easy parking. The only problem is that I want to eat everything!!!”

“My husband and two of our friends went for dinner tonight. The drinks were on point, our calamari was delicious, I had the chicken Milanese which I loved, my husband had the casarecce. Our friends had the bolognese pasta dishes and we were all quite satisfied. Can’t wait to come back and try the pizzas!! Highly recommend!”

“I've never eaten at SoHo. But, we have ordered take out approximately 10 times. Not once have there ever let is down. I'm from Long Island where the competition is extremely high. All of the sub par restaurants get weeded out because there's no lack of high-end cuisine establishments. Upstate, a subpar restaurant can still succeed because there's a lack of competition. Mediocre restaurants can stay in business for years and everyone still goes there because there are no other choices for people. SoHo is the exception. They resemble that high end cuisine from LI. Their ingredients are all high quality. Their salads are out of this world (mainly due to their incredible salad dressing). We ordered one of their dishes with filet mignon and it was one of the most tender steaks I've ever tried. They are honestly one of the best Asian restaurants I've ever been to. The ONLY thing I really wasn't a huge fan of was their soups. For me that isn't a problem because I just have an extra salad instead! I highly recommend this business!”

“A group of 8 to 10 of us has been going to roots every other week for a couple months to play mahjong in the back area. First of all, the food is good and there's a gourmet candy section to drool over at the front of the store. There are also great baked goods to take out. But I would like to address the staff, especially Mallory. They have made us feel so welcome. Our tables are always ready. She already knows what kind of drinks and soups and coffee most of us are going to want...(And when) She greets us and waits on us as soon as we arrive. And she attends to us all afternoon while taking care of the customers at the front of the store. One doesn't see this kind of excellence very often. They are accommodating attentive and fun. Ihighly suggest you try out Roots Cafe if you would like a delightful dining experience with good food, a cozy atmosphere an excellent service, whether you want to go for a quick breakfast or lunch or whether you want to go hang for a couple of hours... and ask for Mallory!”
