“My kid gave it 5 stars! Delicious Mexican food. Guacamole fresh and chips too, everything home made. Service friendly and the tres leches was also apparently amazing but none was left to be shared.”

“Food always consists of plentiful portions served relatively fast. Great for families with kids. Service is pleasant...and there are great views of the Kinderhook creek from the back section. Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)”

“I was searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was great, in large portions, and the pizza is something that I have not stopped thinking about. The waitress was incredibly friendly too and it added to the loving ambiance that comes the feeling of a family owned restaurant. It’s nice to see that a family business has been open for as long as it has! The salad’s were fresh, and thankfully they sell the dressing by the bottle because I kept wanting more. The decor could use some updating. The Grecian painting on the walls looks like it’s been there since the 80’s.”

“Normally the food is 5 star excellent; however, this last visit wasn't. It took a long time to get our entrees and the fries were over cooked in the warmer. Plus, my shrimp was cooked on a dirty griddle, all I could taste was burnt ground beef. Might have just been an off night or they lost some good cook staff. Not sure what's up. We will give them another shot because we dig the menu and food. Trivia night is awesome and fun and the wait staff is great. They made sure our drinks were filled and that we were happy. Hope the kitchen shapes up again.”

“Tonight I had the best Taco Birrias I’ve ever had! And i know my partner loved the Camarones a la Diabla,since he gets it every time we come. That and all the other delicious dishes topped off with great service and atmosphere makes for a great dining experience. If you’re in the mood for authentic, really delicious Mexican cuisine, come here!”

“The food is very good, but not the best in the area. It is definitely the best if you want to sit down in the restaurant though. The breakfast however is phenomenal. I love breakfast burritos and most that you can find in the capital district are just meat, egg, and cheese in a tortilla. At Robert's though, you get a burrito with more than just standard breakfast ingredients.”

“We had just finished our Statue of Liberty visit and we were looking for some lunch - Bento Sushi is located in a busy retail neighborhood on bustling Broadway. This was our first-ever visit to Bento Sushi. The sushi was good - not great. Noodles were good - not great. Service is quick.”

“Since it's the only Chinese in our town, we don't have a choice but, luckily it's pretty good. Very fast pickup times. We really like the general tso too fu and the Singapore mai fun. Also, the cold sesame noodles are great. The family seems very nice as well. Pretty decent option for takeout in Valatie”

“We got married at Vanderbilt Lakeside in August 2023 and had a wonderful experience working with Henrietta and Matt after stumbling upon the venue on Airbnb. It was meant to be because we later figured out that we had frequented Henrietta’s bar, Night of Joy, in Brooklyn when we first started dating and her amazing aesthetic really comes through. We had our closest friends stay with us at the house for the weekend and hosted 100 guests.The look and feel of the space is uniquely chic and quirky all at once with beautiful modern and vintage accents. It's quite whimsical which makes for awesome wedding photos - we didn’t need any additional decor, except for flowers. The backyard/deck space and lakeside views were exquisite in late summer sunshine. The day of our wedding the rain held out for us and we were able to have our ceremony on the lawn, facing the lake and had dinner under a tent on the deck with additional seating in the adjacent room with the sliding doors fully open, and dancing in the bar room under the disco ball. The lawn games and pool table added to the summery and fun atmosphere.Henrietta was very clear in her communication, very responsive, patient throughout our planning process from beginning to end, and offered recommendations for other vendors and services, which were really helpful to us. Henrietta and Matt were also super helpful and flexible in assisting us with our food and beverage selections, answering our many many questions, and providing staff (who were all friendly and professional) when needed. All of the food was truly excellent and everything was served on time. The grilled cheese sandwiches and handcut fries we had as afterparty snacks were a massive hit. Henrietta was also around and available to assist throughout our wedding weekend, which we really appreciated and she communicated well with all of our vendors.We’re so grateful that we found Vanderbilt Lakeside and will forever cherish the memories of our wedding there. We highly recommend it!”

“We've been to Canteen twice (so far) and both dinners were fantastic! The selection of cocktails is creative and explores the wonders of mixology beyond the standard cocktail options. The wine list thoughtfully curated. I was particularly happy to find a rather unusual Müller-Thurgau from Italy's Alto-Adige region as a by-the-glass option. What about the food? Well, that is absolutely remarkable, too: the creativity at Canteen continues seamlessly from glass to plate. That applied to the Burger, the Bouillabaisse, the pork chop, the duck breast, the salmon and the apple galette. Every single dish we had was simply great! I found the service to be particularly friendly and attentive. I am surprised by some of the comments in other reviews. My wife, my son and I found the overall atmosphere at Canteen on both nights very pleasant to say the least and left both times in a cheerful mood. What else can we ask for?”

“Stopped in here during a long road trip from Stowe VT to Harrisburg PA. Previous outstanding reviews are spot on...this place is EXCELLENT! We all had the Smokin' Pig sandwich... YUMMY!!! The meat was flavored so good without having to be smothered with BBQ sauce. It had the perfect amount of sauce. Our sides of cole slaw and baked beans were also EXCELLENT! The gentleman who took our order was super nice and provided great service. We will certainly be back our next trip through.”

“I was looking for a coffee-ish shop with good food and stumbled upon Quinnie’s. It’s a little bit outside of Hudson but worth it to ditch the overwhelming crowds on Warren Street. The food was delicious, counter service is always a plus and they have delicious coffee.
