We are from Syracuse, and had to go to Auburn for a Doctor's appointment near Gretchen's. Went there based on the receptionists' recommendation and boy were we so glad!I like a plain black coffee, and their coffee hit the spot.We ordered a scone and a breakfast Oats cookie. Both were top class! I will be looking forward for my Doctor visits so I can visit Gretchen's again.

Quaint local cafe with a family touch. It was my first time there, so I even got a free chocolate! Small, but super personable!

My husband and I had a very rare day together when we did not have our kids, or were working separate shifts, so we wandered out, and decided we wanted real coffee so we stopped at Gretchen's. As we walked to the door it said CLOSED, as they typically are on Mondays, however, they saw us and immediately opened the door and welcomed us in!! I was shocked! I felt horrible, but they really did their best to accommodate us, and my husband got the drink he wanted, and I got a hot Americano, which was great! I was just astonished at the humanity and customer service. Real people here at Gretchen's!!

Our team was lucky enough to be gifted chocolate assortments from Gretchen's. I cannot understate how amazing they were! The chocolates were beautiful, unique and unbelievably good! The presentation of the chocolates in the beautiful boxes and bag were stunning. What a wonderful treat to give or receive! Or treat yourself! Thank you Gretchen for making such a beautiful product, the whole team loved them!

Gretchen is a creative and masterful chocolatier. The shop is lovely and she and her husband are warm and personable. My wife and I were so taken by the sample offered first-time visitors we bought one of everything! Far superior to anything mass-produced or even other "gourmet" products we've tried (I'm looking at you, Jacques Torres,?). If you can't visit the shop, treat yourself and order from the website. It is worth every penny.
