“Prison city is always enjoyable. The beer is great and the food always impresses. If you like pork, I suggest trying the brussel sprouts. These photos are from their winter noodle ”
“Great service and ambiance which they were open every day during week but hey they need a break huge menu and huge portions for left overs. The frozen takeout in the back is also my go to frozen meals!!”
“Tried this restaurant for the first time. Enjoyed the meal, which was cooked to perfection. Wait staff extremely friendly and good at their job. Also the staff were helping each other, which was nice to see. Definitely will go back.”
“I experienced the lavishness of the lounge :) at a catered event for NYS Equal Justice Center. Amazing cuisine. Red beans and rice, cabbage, curry chicken, plantains, meatballs, all excellently prepared. Everything was super good.”
“I went to the Fire and Ice Brew Festival and had a great time. Papa Muse was playing live music, and the place was packed with people who were dressed to the nines. The food and drink selection was amazing. I would definitely recommend this festival and would be happy to go again.”
“We were staying at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Auburn after a long drive and wanted to eat somewhere we could walk to….well this is the place folks…we called for reservations around 3:45 for 6:30. We got there around 6:25 and we were seated by the fireplace. For a Wednesday evening the place had a really good crowd….our service was excellent and the food was amazing…standout dishes were the Salad Lyonnaise with bacon and a poached egg, Foie Gras special(really amazing), Fried Buttermilk Chicken and lastly the blueberry creme brûlée for dessert. Our cocktails were excellent also….Definitely the place to eat in the downtown area and only a 3 minute walk from the hotel not 8 like Google maps had indicated….”
“Balloons is the real deal. They come to their ambiance and reputation honestly - built over decades. The food is always excellent and well prepared. The service is always friendly and attentive. Great for steak lovers but don't sleep on the rest of the menu including their traditional Italian specialties. If you get stumped by the expansive menu, just order the Rattlesnake Pasta. If it's your first time at Balloons don't let the neighborhood or well-worn rooms dissuade you. Have a seat, order a Manhattan and some Utica Greens and revel in what every restaurant should be - local, legitimate and lovely.”
“I've been in Auburn many times on business and this is my favorite restaurant in town; I've eaten just about everywhere. The food tastes freshly made and is very good. The staff is very professional and nice. This should be a first choice for people visiting or living in the area.”
“You must visit this pure gem of a lounge. Bands are fantastic, easy crowd to mingle with and be comfortable around and Lynn is the absolute best bartender/ owner I have had the pleasure to meet in all my years being in the restaurant business myself. Truly an enjoyable evening out and I look forward to many more!!”
“We loved the charm, atmosphere and hospitality at the Springside Inn. We particularly appreciated the time that Sean took to share the background to the Inn, the local attractions, and his recommendations for other area sites to visit - which we did (nearby Aurora).Rooms: Spacious, well-furnished and appointed.Nearby activities: Wine toursHistoric downtownHarbour and Finger LakesNearby historic towns”
“Absolutely fantastic pulled pork!! It's the real deal, smoked and delicious! Not some quick cooked sauced up stuff. It will leave your mouth just happy! I'm so disappointed I didn't try this place sooner! The Mac n Cheese goes great with the pulled pork, too!! I can't wait to try everything they make in the future!Update! 5/20/23I've now had the pork tacos!! OMG!! Do it!! Just do it! They were completely worth the stains on one of my favorite shirts!!”
“We could not have been happier with our stay at Springside Inn. Comfort, ambiance, amenities, staff…it’s a beautiful place. We met Sean, the owner, who is quite nice. I’m glad we made this choice and certainly will again.”
“This is the best fish fry in town! Their fried fish sandwich is delicious. It has such a crisp fresh taste every time. I am hooked on it. Thank you Smitty's!”
“Best sheet pizza you can’t get by far. If you’re looking for good customer service and a clean environment this is not the place BUT if you want the best SHEET pizza with extra cheese this is the place to go.”
“The food was fantastic, compliments to the chef, the service was excellent, the server attentive, the atmosphere was calm and peaceful.Dietary restrictions: Menu can be adjusted reasonably.Parking: Connected to hotel. May vary depending on hotel occupancy. 6”
“Love it. One of Auburn's best. My fav. They cut back the menu some, but as always awsome meal. Friendly staff. Seems as ut an extra waitress would have helped, ours worked her butt off. Thank you for keeping something in Auburn quality.”
“I ordered the samurai steak and shrimp for lunch and it was so delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection. The best way to describe it would be chocolate textured beef steak. It doesn't taste like chocolate, it literally melts in your mouth once you start chewing. OH, it was so good.”
“The Peachy Keen Kolsch was delicious, but I was disappointed by the IPAs as they were just ok (I prefer juicy/hazy). The wood-fired pizza was on-point! We had the chorizo and pepperoni/sausage pizzas and they were fantastic!”
“These are the nastiest wings I ever had in my life, I ordered a 16 piece lemon pepper hot wing and they sent one order of bland hot wings with curly frys and a order of no flavor tasteless wings with cury frys I did not know chicken could be so bland and nasty. we didn't even eat them they're just sitting there, we did not even have dinner because it was so bad.”
“Me and my boyfriend came for a spa weekend in the area escaping NYC. Found this place and I totally recommend it. Flavours were amazing. Had the risotto and artichoke pizza. So genuine and rustic. Service was super nice and friendly. I wish more places like this existed closer to NYC.”
