“Stopped for our first I've cream of the season!! It is dang cold out today, but when offered to go get ice cream I gladly went. I tried their new flavor PBJ Cheesecake ice cream. I had it in a cookie sandwich made with Casi's XL Peanut Butter cookies! Wow!! It was fantastic! My boyfriend got a strawberry sundae on soft chocolate ice cream. He loved it. Always a favorite place to come for fun I've cream flavors!! And the quality of the homemade ice cream is fabulous! So rich and creamy and good. Looking forward to trying some new taste combinations this summer!!“
“Lovely place my sister discovered and recommended. I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo dish, and my husband had the quesadillas. It was a very large platter and was good since I like garlic, but if you don't, that wouldn't be the dish for you! I tried their root beer, and it too was very good. My husband has the black tea and thought it could have been a touch sweeter. We were too full to try the ice cream.“
“Stopped today to enjoy an outdoor meal on a nice day. Was not sure what to expect food-wise. Pleasantly surprised ! The burgers are fabulous, the "pudder" burger was made to order, cooked to perfection, and the toppings were extremely fresh. While my wife had ice cream for dessert, I had another pudder burger ! My new fav place for a burgers“
“A don't miss eatery when in Skaneatales for terrific (not-junky) fried fish. We were skeptical when we saw the long line of people waiting for takeout at Doug's because the Finger Lakes are known for the excellent fishing there. Every fancy place serves cod or scrod or haddock although these might not be local .. anyway, we noticed a newer sit-down Doug's Dining Room next door and figured if they expanded, they must be good.We were happy we queued up because the line zips right through. Fried fish was a 10" slab of gently breaded, not greasy flounder in a soft, squishy bun. French fries are perfection. No fried clams till Fridays and no calamari left but my hubby had a Lobster Roll he adored. Seafood soup and gumbo smelled delicious. Grilled shrimp skewers landed on the table next to us and looked fabulous. Doug's a super local place with hysterical fish joke signs and vats of tartar sauce and ketchup on the side counters. There are formica tables inside and picnic tables out back too. Prices are circa 1964 so you'll enjoy that too.“
“Traveling from Lake Ontario to Auburn. Stopped on a whim. So glad we did. Best soft serve ice cream we've had in a long time + super fresh cone. Great prices, too.Enjoyed our food inside. Also offered Perry Ice Cream which would have been tasty too.“
