we found this place by chance yesterday and we will be back there again.. the food was good the service was excellent and the conversation with the owners.. was even better.. then I was watching the news 8 hrs later and I see Brandon Roth from cw6 was there it was Brandon best bet for great food... and we agree

Also, bonus shopping in the restaurant. Always find great gifts and baking products. The cookie and brownie mixes are family favorites. Great choice for a relaxing and generous meal.

We stumbled upon this place in Auburn, NY based on a Tripadvisor search while traveling between Rochester and New York City. It's a little off the beaten path but what a find! There is a neat little store with all kinds of fun things from food to candles and soaps and household items like soap dishes and salt and pepper shakers. A lot of it was unique. After a little bit of a wait, which tells you how popular the place is, we got seated. The food was excellent and the coffee was really good. (I don't always get to say that.) I was surprised at how extensive the menu was. My wife said the waffles were the best she ever had. She also had a tea drink called a "London Fog" which she loved. Staff was helpful and friendly and the place was immaculately clean. We will be sure to stop here again.

Always our favorite restaurant when visiting Auburn. Lunch for 2 was under $30. and HUGE! I had the Grist Mill Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich w/ a side of Mac and cheese.
