I went to the Fire and Ice Brew Festival and had a great time. Papa Muse was playing live music, and the place was packed with people who were dressed to the nines. The food and drink selection was amazing. I would definitely recommend this festival and would be happy to go again.

My wife and I rented out the barrel room in the brewery for the rehearsal dinner of our wedding. This was such a nice experience, as Amy and the bartending crew were so helpful and made the night go very smoothly for us. We are regular visitors to the brewery as it is, so we can also comment on how amazing the beer and environment is! Our guests definitely agreed as well!

Best beer in upstate New York. Obviously try the mass Riot, the beer has won all kinds of awards for a reason. Both locations are great, but different. North street offers more of a beer only with entertainment while the downtown location is more of a pub style with food and great service.. I go to both. Whenever I desire to go out with the wife we almost always go to prison city. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling through.

So here's the thing... this North St location of Prison City Brewing is great in terms of availability of different kinds of space (both inside and outside) and the beer options available. I love sitting by the fire pit with a cold fruited sour in the middle of the summer. The overall ambiance is just really enjoyable. But this isn't the Prison City-location to go to if you're also hoping to get some delicious pub food with your beer. In my experience at this location, it's mostly food trucks that provide the food (though they have a very limited menu available - including "Smoked Sundays" for smoked wings, or 12" pizza options), and the food trucks can be somewhat underwhelming (during my most recent visit, I ordered 2 pulled pork tacos from a truck that was serving and the tortillas seemed to be straight out of a package & were served with very little filling. I definitely could have made much better tacos at home and done so for much less money). On the bright side, this last visit was especially unique in that this location was holding a "small business Saturday"-style art & craft fair with a number of local vendors - some inside, some outside (photos included in my review are from this visit). While I wouldn't necessarily say the inside space is super conducive to having many vendors, it's certainly a nice idea. Maybe more of the vendors can be outside if this event continues? It'd be nice if they could have repurposed more of the outside lawn + patio, since they were otherwise fairly empty. A larger tend would have allowed for everything to feel a bit less crowded. Anyway, while I still prefer the State St location, they each have their own vibes. This North St. location is my fruited sour & fit pit-vibes location, and I'll be back for that. It's just not my default, and I wouldn't recommend visiting this particular spot if you're also in the mood to grab some food. It's a beer only-spot for me.

The venue is really great, plenty of space and hip. I had their Oktoberfest beer and was satisfied. I do feel compelled to say that the woman bartending was extremely unpleasant. I know women don’t owe you an excessively friendly demeanor, but she was flat-out rude.

I have been here a time or two, and desperately want to go back! I pass it everyday, but also pass the Prison City Brewery in downtown Auburn- and I have to say, I love the atmosphere and setting of the new location on North St. I much prefer it over the downtown location. The food offered was exactly what was shown online and it was AHmazing! The staff at the bar were super great our first time there- not knowing how anything worked. We sat outside, and they were setting up for live music. It's a very chill place, the prices are really good, and it's always a great time!

A lovely venue for my relative's wedding. The staff were polite, cheerful, and helpful. But...We were directed to old fashioned portaloos as restrooms, the kind that don't flush, but are a disgusting hole in the ground. These were down two flights of metal stairs or down inclines. I'm disabled, as were several other guests, and this was very difficult for me to navigate. We then discovered we could use the restrooms in the main building, but those were some distance away - better that than the portaloos. Why not build purpose made restrooms at the site? There is definitely the space to do so. What about people who just want to wash their hands before eating? Isn't there a law about this?At the entrance, there seemed to have been boards covering holes in the ground but those were rotted away, leaving the holes in the ground. This could be dangerous for anyone using a cane, wheelchair, or walker, or an able-bodied person putting a foot wrong. (BTW, I realise your target customers are young people but you don't have to be elderly to be disabled). Isn't there a law about this either?Despite all this, we had a great evening.

I love the venue, Sunday the Sip and shop is great, beer not everyone likes and IPA , and they had alot. The service was ? I asked for a sample, and the young lady made it seem like I was bothering her, I asked for a 2nd on, and the same attitude. They were just sips. If you don't like your job, then get a new one, or do the one you have the best , I work in customer service , So I understand people can be cranky, but it's ypur job not to be. On a good note, the live music they have on Sunday's is outstanding .

The beers are quite good, haven't tried the food truck yet...just really turned off by the service. This past weekend, during an event, no less, I encountered one of the rudest bartenders - impatient, cut me off when I started asking a question about a beer (mind you, there was hardly anyone inside at the time) - She was pretty miserable. We had brought friends with us who hadn't been there before - but that will probably be the last time. It's too bad - if you have good beer and decent food, you really don't want staff that will make customers think twice about patronizing your place!

We had a great time at Prison City! I ordered a delightful flight - each beer was delicious! My companion ordered rootbeer (he is N/A) and it was great. I was also snacky so I took advantage of the food truck for a quick snack. It was a beautiful afternoon with live music and vendors outside. If I lived in Auburn, I could see going here a lot! Service was friendly, the beer was great, the atmosphere was cool, and the bathrooms were clean. What more can you ask for?
