We hired Pure to cater our wedding, which we held at a private residence with about 130 people. Luke and Kelly were fantastic throughout the entire process, from the initial search process, to the planning, to the day-of execution. Kelly is an excellent communicator, she's on top of her stuff, knows the ins and outs of planning a wedding and working with a range of vendors, and is just a lot of fun to work with. She made the whole process easier and less stressful. Chef Luke was also extremely pleasant to work with and built a menu that fit exactly what we were looking for (a seasonal, veggie-forward meal that would appeal to our veggie-skeptical families). The food was fantastic and drew rave reviews from everybody. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

The food is always incredibly fresh. So far we've tried the tacos on Monday and the Sous Vide Fried Chicken Sandwich on Wednesday. Pure offers other daily lunch specials which include Fried Fish, Grilled cheese, various soups, sides and others. They also offer ready-to-go entrees from their display case that you can take for a grab-and-go lunch or for a quick dinner you can bring home to the family. Ingredients are always fresh and even with the fried options, you can tell that Chef Luke Houghton keeps health at the forefront of his decision making in the kitchen. This has quickly become one of our go-to lunch spots.

Well, I live above Pure and it is truly the only reason I refuse to move out of my apartment. This place makes living downtown amazing -- FIRST OFF: Gimme Coffee is my favorite (as someone who has had coffee in 12 different countries and 34 different states) and boy, do they know how to utilize it. My personal favorite: a vanilla (did i mention their syrups are HOMEMADE????) breve. My favorite breve in town. SECOND OFF: the food? local, fresh, made right. Also for those days when I can't really be around the public: amazing food to-go! Also very vegan-friendly. THIRD OFF: the goods! the variety! whether I want local honey, some kombucha, local cheeses....milk, lassi even! pastas, spices, just visit and see for yourself. FOURTH OFF???: the homemade baked goods (best kept secret: theyre $1 after 5 pm). I live for the chocolate croissants. FIFTH OFF: super fun weekly drinks! My favorite so far: Thai iced tea. SIXTH OFF AND MOST IMPORTANT: every single employee that works there is incredible, welcoming, loving, I consider them my cafe family. Truly. I refuse to leave this apartment if it means taking me further from Pure! For now, I only have to walk downstairs for dreams come true.
