Aurora Cooks Reviews
Chef Lou was awesome!!! Would definitely recommend doing dinner here!
Being cooked for right in front of us was a fabulous experience! Chef Lou's dishes were creative and had amazing execution besides tasting delicious. We appreciated the local sourcing of ingredients and the detailed explanation of each dish. She facilitated our interaction with the other couples as well which led us to delightful conversation. and interaction with all participating. We left feeling full as well as having made new friends.
We had such a wonderful time at Aurora Cooks! Abigail was our chef and she was as bubbly as her food was delicious. We had so much fun connecting with her, learning about her process, and getting to know the folks around the table with us. Absolutely a MUST TRY experience at the Inns of Aurora or anyone in the area.
Aurora Cooks offers delicious food with a well-curated wine list. The service is friendly, and the staff ensures that the dining experience is enjoyable, keeping water glasses full and maintaining the right temperature for the dishes. Visitors often praise the beautiful presentation of the dishes and the warm, bright ambiance of the restaurant. The space features a large island seating eight, with a cooktop set into the center, creating a welcoming and interactive atmosphere. Guests can watch the chef prepare each plate, making the meal both a visual and culinary delight. The experience is relaxed, friendly, and often includes light conversation among guests, contributing to a unique and immersive dining environment.
The menu features a variety of flavorful dishes, including pheasant roulade, pork bellies, and pistachio sauced linguine. The meal often includes multiple courses, with each offering distinct flavors that impress diners. The pumpkin pavlova is a popular choice for dessert, spiced and sweet. The staff, including servers like Amanda, are attentive, friendly, and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While most dishes are well-received, some dishes like halibut and lamb may occasionally have slight issues with overcooking or seasoning, and iberico pork and lamb tenderloin can sometimes be dry. The starters and desserts receive positive feedback and are highly recommended.
Overall, Aurora Cooks provides a special, high-end dining experience that combines excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and engaging interaction with the chef. It is especially suitable for those celebrating or seeking a memorable night out.
