After seeing a Tik Tok video, we visited Gipfel Coffee this morning with a party of three, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. Our total was $43 plus tip, which covered two 24-ounce coffees, one Battenkill Chocolate Milk, an almond croissant, a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, and an everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, and capers.
I ordered the Cold Brew Coco Mocha and it was perfection. With just cream, it had the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate flavor, more like a dark chocolate taste than a sugary syrup, making it rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. I’m already dreaming of my next one.
The food was equally impressive. My toasted everything bagel was done just right; crispy on the outside, with a pleasantly chewy interior. The amount of cream cheese was generous and flavorful. The almond croissant was perfectly flaky and delicious, and the person in our group who had the lox sandwich described it as hearty and satisfying.
The location is a short, scenic 14-minute drive from Troy. We enjoyed sitting out back at the tables on a beautiful summer morning. The staff was friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Although the attached little store wasn’t open during our visit, it’s on my list for next time.
It’s worth noting that the café was bustling at 8:10 AM when we arrived, which speaks to its popularity. If the parking lot is full, there’s a sign directing you to additional parking. The space is clean, beautifully designed, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Gipfel Coffee is truly a Capital District gem, worth the drive from anywhere in the area. I will absolutely be back!

Love the people, the coffee, the pistachio, and spinach buns we had. Walked 1.5 hours in the heat to get there and I have to say it's worth it. Trust me.. try them. The store at the front also has a great vibe with lots of local products.

Gipfel was a nice surprise. The coffee is high quality—smooth, not burnt or overly sweet like you sometimes get elsewhere. The space is simple, clean, and has a calm vibe. No hype, no pretense—just a solid local spot. I’d come back.( Honey pistachio bun is my favorite😉)

Fantastic coffee shop and store. Coffee, pastry and bagels are the best. They also have some of the best whole bean coffee to make at home. I love it for home cold brew and pour over. Can't recommend you stop in here enough.

This place is so nice to have in the area. The pastries and drinks are delish, the gift shop next door is nice. Lots of seating. Only complaint is the parking - especially that spot along the side of the building. I watched a woman do a 97 point turn to get out of the last spot because someone parked along side the building. If someone has to park back there, they can't get back out easily. Hopefully maybe more parking can be added.

Very cute spot. Coffeeshop is towards the back of the boutique. Menu is pretty decent and they had some food options as well. There's wifi to get work done too. Just make sure you're laptop is charged because there was only one spot to plug in your laptop in.
