I had been looking forward to trying this local restaurant. I had heard very nice things and was excited to finally get a chance to experience TBA. We had some appetizers that were good but our food was terrible. We felt bad that we couldn’t eat the food even though we were very hungry. We very quietly and politely told our waiter the food was not edible. The waiter was already very apologetic because the food order had been botched and had taken an unreasonable time to come out. The waiter said he was sorry but he was only able to discount one meal. We asked to speak with a manager and after a long wait were approached by a very rude woman who said pay your bill up front and we took off both meals. We were completely disappointed with the unpleasant and unprofessional attitude of the female who was rude and short and obviously uncaring that our experience was terrible. We will never go back or recommend this place to another person. I’ve never written a bad review on any restaurant in my life but this place deserves a terrible review!

My husband and I went for the first time tonight and it might be my new favorite place. My husband got the mussels appetizer and said they were the cleanest he’s ever seen and the flavor of the sauce was on point. We shared a charcuterie board that featured some delicious cheeses and mustards. We both got the honey garlic salmon special and it was absolutely the best salmon I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It’s such a cute place and the service was great. We’ll definitely be going back!

This is absolutely a must go in our quiet corner overlooking Glass Lake.The staff are the best, so polite and know the menu. The food is outstanding. If you like mussels you found the most delicious app. The cod I had was done with perfection. The environment is special with a lot of history and the French style design is unique. Enjoy the back porch overlooking the lake. It is peaceful and beautiful to see. Don’t be fooled by the bike out front…it’s part of the decor! So so worth coming!

My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new in our area, and since this place was rated almost 5 stars I thought why not... walking into the restaurant you are greeted by a musty, old carpet smell that does not go away. We got the loaded fries; cheese sauce was good but half of the fries were freezer burnt or stale. I got the steak and vegetables of the day. Was not told what the vegetables were so I had to guess by biting into what looked like mac and cheese (it was cheesy Cauliflower, I think) and an odd choice for potatoes, whole baby potatoes with only butter and paprika as a seasoning. My boyfriend's burger was barely seasoned. I hate to leave a bad review, but I was so disappointed to receive this 2 star experience when the place was rated so high, somehow. Staff was nice, only good part. Great potential, not there yet.
Old Hellebergh Chapter, NSDAR held an event at TBA today and it was amazing. We used the front room and it was just perfect for our group. The Buffett was delicious (my favorite offering was the Baked Salmon with Dijon mustard glaze) and the chef was very accommodating to a member that had specific dietary needs. She was so happy with her meal. Thank you so much to all of you. We appreciate you all making our event wonderful.
