I walked into this place without much research, just saw a high star rating and proximity from where I was at that time. I thought they offer traditional Japanese style ramen. If that’s what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. The staff, service, and overall vibe were great. I ordered the Classic ramen and it was nothing like the ramen I am used to. Although it was eatable, but too oily and black peppery, it was just a different kind of noodle soup dish. I have tried various styles of ramen in Japan so I can say safely that this is definitely “inspired” by them but not a traditional Japanese ramen.
I see many enjoyed their style so it seems to meet their tastes. Just not my bowl of ramen. That’s all. Again, super friendly staff. No hard feelings.

My friend and I usually go to MB ramen in Huntington but decided to try this place once we walked by it and saw there was another ramen place. The ramen was delicious and we will be coming back! We liked that it was a nice atmosphere where we can talk and it’s not super loud. The (I assume owner) that took out order was very nice accommodating. Highly recommend!

O.G. Ramen is exceptional! Owner Sal is knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. If you or someone you know is gluten sensitive, this place is a must !!!! Their imported Japanese rice noodles are outstanding. I tried the classic ramen with rice noodles, and it was flavorful, high quality, and extremely satisfying. Thank you so much! 😊

Rididculously good ramen. Very clean ingredients which is very hard to come by from restaurants these days. I got the pesceterian ramen, amazing. The owner was so nice and genuine, I will definitely be back!

This ramen place is a hidden gem! The bowls are full of flavor and clearly made with passion. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home — you can tell they truly care about every customer and every bowl they serve. The eggs are absolutely amazing, so good that we went back up and purchase more! He takes much pride in his menu and that was great to see because It’s rare to find that kind of warmth and quality these days. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I live outside DC and have tried all our local ramen places. We have even had ramen in some of the best places in Japan. But this ramen is the best I've tried. Well done, can't wait to be in NY again to try again!

I tried the chicken teriyaki rice bowl at OG Ramen and it was absolutely exceptional. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, with just the right balance of sweet and savory teriyaki glaze. The rice was fresh and fluffy, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. What really stood out to me is how clean and light it felt — no heaviness, no shortcuts, just real, fresh food prepared with care. You can tell Sal and the team put pride into what they do. Easily one of the best bowls I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommend!

Being born and raised on Long Island with a fervent passion for Asian cuisine, I've visited many different spots trying to find something that tasted even remotely similar to what I've eaten in Japan. O.G. Ramen just took that top spot by a landslide. The conversation alone that I had with the owner Sal revealed his passion for capturing the artistic nature of cooking, he is extremely knowledgeable about his craft and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the preparation, presentation, flavors, and overall atmosphere of the food he serves, which is something that is so often lost at places trying to pack their seats and make the biggest profit possible. Sal cares about the authentic experience of ramen, and it was clearly shown to me by the bowl that I just finished. The food came out hot and fast, and with my first sip of broth I was immediately transported back to a hole in the wall ramen shop I visited last time I was in Sapporo. You can tell the broth has been cooked over multiple days and isn't just a soup from concentrate that was watered down. The seasoned egg was cooked to perfection, which seems to be a rare occurrence in ramen spots out here on the island. Overall my tastebuds, my stomach, and even my nervous system was completely satisfied after my visit. I have nothing but the highest praise for my man Sal and what he's got going on here at O.G. Ramen here in Babylon, I highly suggest anyone with functional tastebuds or a passion for amazing cuisine to plan a visit here soon.

High quality ingredients. Owner put a lot of thought and care into each and every dish, sourcing only the best ingredients. Food is delicious. Level of care is unmatched. The only soy free ramen restaurant I know. All gluten free as well. Clearly marked vegan options with chickpea tofu. The matcha pudding dessert is out of this world: light, creamy and soft. I stop by whenever I'm in town.
