We just purchased a house in the area and came after closing for lunch. Safe to say we’ve found our local go to! Food is INCREDIBLE and service was fantastic. Will definitely be back!!

Poorly managed and overrated. I have called on more than one occasion and been given a wait time of 2-3 hours. It’s the only restaurant I know that can’t efficiently accommodate takeout.

Angry Garlic was a terrific visit for a Sunday date night! The service and atmosphere were exceptional! Our waitress Nicole was very kind and helpful. The only thing I wish was just a tiny bit better was the meat for my sandwich which was just a little dry, but I have only been there once, so I'll have to go again and give it another chance! Ultimately, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Syracuse area!

I received undercooked and or raw chicken today during my visit. I ordered the Jared’s wings and my wife ordered a burger the burger was mediocre in her words not mines and my chicken wasn’t done I have no clue on how this establishment is functioning but it’s taking up space in the area

We really wanted to like this place but couldn't.
My boyfriend and I both asked for the "black garlic steak and spinich". We asked the server to have them cook our steaks rare. What we got were steaks that were cooked medium rare to something just short of well done...
Based on the price and the amount of meat we were getting, we assumed we were in for some really tasty dry aged steak. Which is really hard to replicate without some expensive equipment and knowledge on how to do it right... If it WAS dry aged(and prepared correctly), $24 each, for 6 oz steaks would be great. Instead, I'm pretty sure the steaks we got were wet aged... Which literally anyone can do at home if you really want to, and generally isn't anything to write home about most of the time...
Why say on the menu it's 'aged steak' but not indicate the actual method of aging? My boyfriend and I think the Angry Garlic wants to give customers the illusion of serving higher quality food than they actually have... They hope people either won't notice (or care), as they upcharge you and proceed to under deliver...
Beyond just using vague terms in the menu description, and over cooking our steaks, we found the food to be quite bland and frankly shoddy. The sated potatoes were dry and felt more like potatoes boiled in no salt at all. The steaks themselves were under seasoned. The spinich was ok, my boyfriend said it wasn't...
It is not good food. It's over priced and highly over rated.

We’re out of towners visiting the Finger Lakes. Our B&B host recommended the Angry Garlic. She knows her business and the right places to recommend to her guests, that’s for sure! The Angry Garlic was a hit on every level. Being a near lifelong vegetarian, I had the black bean burger and a lemonade. Delicious! The atmosphere was lively and comfortable.
Vegetarian options: There aren’t many but the black bean burger was a hit for me.
