First time getting takeout here and the food was absolutely divine. Such full and warm flavors, dense food and great portions! Genuinely so delicious. I forgot about my drinks when I went in the first time, and when I came back for them the kind young man on staff gave me a complimentary one. The mango lassi compliments the flavors of the chicken so well. Will be back 1000%, happy to have found a new go to takeout place. Thanks!

Jay met us at the door and was also our server. Place is clean as a whistle. He recommended the cauliflower appetizer. He was right. Delicious with some kind of almost sweet sauce. We also got the saag paneer. Slightly spicy than others we’ve had but we really liked it as well.. then came our tandoori. Did not enjoy shrimp or lamb. But the chicken was top notch. Not dry at all. Definitely recommend this Clay Oven. You’ll leave full!

I have gone to Clay Oven many times and never had a bad experience. Wednesday night is all you can eat buffet which is always great. They cycle the dishes so you can try new things each time. Items are always fresh and not too spicy for the lighter palettes. Service is usually great and plenty of space for small or large groups. Tikka Chicken or Butter Chicken are great for people new to the Indian game. Matar paneer (peas and cheese) is my favorite and almost always at the buffet.

This had been our go to Indian spot UNTIL recently. The quality of the food is no longer good. Chicken is tough and has a game taste. This place used to have the best servers. That also changed. Very disappointed that the quality went down, the service went down and the prices went up.

Sad to say but after giving it 3 additional tries with more disappointment...We won't be returning.
There also seems to be a very serious sewer issue. The smell near the kitchen and bathroom is horrendous.

I love this place so much. The atmosphere is 10/10. The food amazing!! Service.. Fantastic. Saag Paneer is a frequent craving of mine. And this is my go to for a Mango Lassi!!!

Clay Oven has a great location and offers a lunch buffet. The Naan bread was amazing. The food was luke warm but a nice experience.

This was our first dine-in experience, but we order take out frequently. Great service, food is always incredible with generous portions and ready quickly. The prices are fantastic, too. Easily my favorite Indian place in Syracuse and the surrounding area.
