I’m hoping this was just an “off” day, but we were quite surprised by the unfriendly service and the “sangria” ordered from the bar, which tasted only like seltzer water (no alcohol) for $11. Not to mention our waitress was not very friendly, which made all of us quite uncomfortable. Our party of 3 are not a picky bunch, but the service here was significantly lacking. We’ve always loved the Charlton Tavern, so this was a big disappointment.
This was my first time at the Charlton Tavern, and I loved it! It's truly a gem of a place. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious! I'll be coming back here for sure.
