Alaturco Gyro Mediterranean Restaurant

Stop by one day a few years ago wanting something different than the fast food garbage so I gave them a try. This places gyros are delicious. Saturday I was in the area and decided to stop, got the lamb and chicken gryo sandwich wirh fries and again it was great. They give you plenty of meat on their sandwiches and well worth the price. Stop by and check them out.

Finally made it here and so glad we did! Some of the best falafel I’ve ever had. The chicken shawarma was very flavorful too. The customer service was great, you can tell the food is made with love. If you’ve been thinking about stopping by, this is your sign!!

Great food! The chocolate baklava is the best baklava experience I've ever had. Gyros, moussaka, and stuffed peppers also flawlessly executed with tremendous skill and passion. 1000% will return for more Turkish coffee and baklava. This dessert is extraordinary and definitely a reason to choose this restaurant above any other Mediterranean cuisine options.

This place was a quick stop for us while passing through and a pleasant surprise. The woman taking orders was extremely friendly and welcoming. The cook behind the counter was also approachable and smiling. The two of them, speaking in Turkish to one another, seemed to be really enjoying their day and their work.

We had kebabs. Very yummy sandwiches with meat and veg. Not too spicy, but very flavorful. This menu is great for someone who is hesitant to try international food for the first time, and enjoyable for those who are comfortable doing so.

It is a small deli setup, intended more for takeout, though we did sit at one of the two small tables and had a grand time. The service was very quick and the prices affordable.

We’ve been coming to Alaturco months. If you're looking for a fantastic Mediterranean foods experience, Alaturco in Ballston spa is a must-visit restaurant! From the moment you walk in, the clean and inviting atmosphere will make you feel right at home.
But it's not just the ambiance that sets Alaturco apart – the food is simply delicious ! The Gyro and falafale are a must-try, with a variety of delicious fillings to choose from, each one bursting with flavor. My favorites are the delicious Hummus but if you’re up for it go for the Stuffed Peppers!
The service at Alaturco is also outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have.

Overall, if you're a fan of Authentic Mediterranean cuisine or just looking for a great meal, you won't be disappointed by Alaturco. With its delicious food, amazing Bakalava, and exceptional service, it's a restaurant that truly stands out from the rest

Door Dashed this and was very disappointed. Everything was cold. Granted it was delivered, but I was tracking through the app and the delivery was very quick. I’m 3 miles away at a hotel. The food looked delicious but the lamb gyro and fries were cold. And I don’t mean like warm. It’s like they took it out of the refrigerator, put it together and in a box. A lot of places don’t take to go orders very seriously though.

I’ve eaten Mediterranean food in NYC, Boston, even overseas and I did not expect to find something this good in Ballston Spa.
Alaturco Gyro isn’t just another takeout spot. It’s the kind of place where you take one bite and immediately look at the person next to you like, “Okay… this is legit.”
The lamb gyro was perfectly balanced flavorful but not overpowering, tender without being greasy. The chicken was juicy and actually tasted marinated, not just grilled. The rice was fluffy, the fries were crisp, and every sauce tasted house-made, not from a bottle.
But what really stands out is the care. You can feel it. The food doesn’t taste rushed. It tastes intentional. Like someone actually thought about how it should taste before serving it.
The restaurant itself is spotless, welcoming, and run by people who clearly take pride in what they do. In a world full of average, this place stands out.
And the baklava? Crispy layers, rich filling, perfectly sweet not heavy, not soggy, just right. The kind you think about later.
If you live anywhere near Saratoga County and haven’t tried Alaturco Gyro yet, you’re missing out. This place is building something special.

OMG! We just dug into this DELICIOUS and amazing feast!!!! YUUUUMMMM! We are all thrilled! Highly recommend! So happy that I saw this deal on Facebook! We ordered the Mediterranean Family Platter, one day only special for St Patrick’s, and it did not disappoint!! It was delightful meeting the employees/owner and even more delightful enjoying the feast! 🙂 And, you can't beat the price either - sooo much food!! I highly recommend Alaturco Gyro Mediterranean Restaurant in Ballston Spa !!! This was our first time… We'll surely be back for more!

If you’re looking for great Mediterranean food in the Saratoga area, I highly recommend this spot. I’ll definitely be back!

The chicken gyro was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The pita was warm and soft, and the combination of fresh toppings and creamy tzatziki sauce made it taste incredibly balanced and authentic. You can really tell that everything is made with care and quality ingredients. Definitely one of the best chicken gyros I’ve had in the area, I’ll be coming back for sure!
