Food was ok but not worth the wait. Services was bad and the bartender was quite rude. Kitchen was very slow and we waited for 45 min for our meal.

We got meatballs and sausage with zita. The meatballs were large but I have better. Needed more seasoning. The sausage was good. The pasta good The sauce was just tomato sauce they call gravy. You get a large pan enough for 2 meals for $30.00. Italian bread also comes with the meal. Maybe next time will try a chicken dish.

Hadn't been here in years but decided to go with our grandsons after going to a polo game. Service was excellent. The family size portions were huge! Wine was perfect with the meal. Best of all was dessert!! Definitely coming back.

A huge thank you to Augie's for the fabulous food catered for our daughter's wedding this weekend. All was delivered a long distance piping hot, and everything was delicious as always. Our guests raved about each dish, from the entrees to the canolis. We couldn't recommend you higher!

Augies saved my wedding after a huge miscommunication with our food vendor not showing. Within an hour and zero notice prior they had trays and trays of food to feed an army plus some. During a holiday weekend too might I add. The food is always amazing and will always come back for more!

Long story short. Food was amazing but very disappointed that they oversold us on how much food we needed for a shower of 50 to 60 people. My wife took the suggestion of ordering 7 trays of food. Which she thought was overkill but they kept saying she would run out otherwise. When the shower was over only 1 tray was completely empty while 3 where between 3/4 to 1/2 empty and we still had 3 full trays of food. No way should they have sold us 7 trays of food for a party that size. I was not happy. I felt we were taken advantage of as we had no idea and took their suggestions on how much to order. Again the food was amazing! I'm just not happy with the oversell and wasting over $300.

Update: February 2025, I ordered Chicken Marsala on 2/12, omg, this in no way resembles any Chicken Marsala I've ever had. They put stringy under cooked onions in it, ridiculous. Did you ever hear of a chopping knife? The Marsala sauce was awful. To make matters worse, they give you zita or spaghetti to put the chicken Marsala on it, problem is the zita was mixed in a bland marinara sauce. Who puts marinara sauce with Marsala sauce. The bread was decent and staff are friendly but the food is awful. Stay away, when in the east part of Troy go to Moscaitello Italian family restaurant near HVCC, those folks know how to make a great Marsala, chicken or veal. Augie's has gone down hill.

Did a pick up of a scallop and shrimp, and artichokes dinner. Scallops were few and far between. Basically paying for pasta and an alfredo sauce with a few artichokes and maybe three or four scallops for $34 a little pricey.

The daily special of chicken pappardelle was delicious as was the pasta puttanesca. However the veal and chicken special was tough and overcooked. The table service was average and not helpful as this was our first time dining at

We were a party of 7 adults, with reservations, for my father in law's 75th birthday on Monday 2/3 at 6pm. We traveled 40 minutes to this location as the birthday boy ask specifically for this place. Long story short, the dark haired server with the thick gold chain acted as if we were an inconvenience as he spouted off 9 different specials for the evening and his personality was far from cordial. We had 4 different servers at any given time because at one point the original man was eating dinner in the front of the restaurant for an hour while we ran completely out of drinks multiple times and had to flag someone down for refills. We ordered 4 appetizers, 4 meals and multiple adult beverages as well as desserts. It is not like anyone there was cheap or even planning to be. We order big, we tip well- when service is good. It was not. Some other person came over and ask if we wanted boxes or them to clear our table so we could go, before we ever even got our food. This continued the entire meal. Despite saying it to 3 servers, no one ever wished my father in law a "happy birthday" at all. We finished and were leaving at 8:27 when my husband went back in to use the restroom only to find it completely disgusting, the lights off and the staff all yelling at each other. In summation, the food is mediocre, the staff is very subpar and it was just not a good choice for a celebration. My advice, stay home and order a pizza before you choose this location.

We dined here a week ago and I was very disappointed in the food and service. We ordered the chicken and veal sorrentino. The veal was rubbery and the eggplant almost non existent. On top of that, the pasta was mushy. The chicken, however was tender. Our server never returned to ask about our meal until we were ready to leave. There was a private party taking place and it appeared all of the staff were serving that group while neglecting their other customers.
We have visited Augie’s for years and this was by far the worst experience we ever had. We dine out frequently but I am not sure we will return since there are so many other options in this area.

The food is a bit lacking honestly. I appreciate the family size portions but all our dishes were good to OK. Nothing really popped. Otherwise it was a perfectly good meal. I just think they could pump up food a bit

Not very allergy friendly. They put dairy in their pasta itself so I couldn't even have the homemade pasta, they offered me boxed instead. I came here to get homemade pasta so that was disappointing. The atmosphere was also horrible. We were seated next to a group of 8 men who were so loud I couldn't even hear the people at my table talking. They were at times screaming over each other. It was unbearable. I know this isn't the restaurant's fault, but when we tried asking the waitstaff to say something to the table, they were condescending and rude to us. I have never had a waiter be so sarcastic and demeaning towards me. I'm guessing he was more concerned with the tip he would get from a big party and not asking them to quiet down than he was concerned with the comfort of our table. There wasn't anyone else in the section at this time so it was just us being inconvenienced by these morons.
As for the food, the people I went with had vodka penne which they liked. I had boxed ziti with tomato sauce, peas, and prosciutto. It was just OK, if not a little bland. It could have used some garlic or seasoning.
