I am from Denver, visiting a friend for a death in the family. I stopped at the McDonald's in Ballston Spa, New York, for a late-night snack before going back to my motel. They have two drive-thru lanes, supposedly to speed up the drive-thru experience. That was not my experience. I do not put all of the blame on the employees. My window was down far enough to hear the two drivers in front of me "trying" to order food. Excuse me, the point of a drive-thru is that you know the restaurant, and for the life of me, these "customers" are sitting there; "Ummm, well, I dunno, wait, give me a minute." Seriously? Idiocy is not lost on drive-thru customers. I sat there behind only two vehicles for just over 20 minutes. When it was my turn at the voice box, I drove away; my hunger was replaced with anger. Ridiculous. Not so much the employees, but its customers. Idiots. My Experience was mostly graded on the customers, not so much the employees. Please forgive any negative reference to the employees who had to deal with these morons.

I went to McDonald's this morning and the cashier was not friendly. This was 6:30 Saturday morning Sept. 6 ,2025. She threw my money at me and never said thank you. I have had this experience with her in the past. Sincerely sherri

This place us a 50/50 as far as McDonald's goes. It's not bad as some are, in regards to maintaining or customer service, but I can't say it's really up there. Let me explain.

The staff here are usually pretty good at maintaining both drive thru flow, as it can really get crazy being one of the only fast food drive thrus in town, but sometimes it can be bad. Ive had times, (all going inside to order take out), where I have had short wait times as long as 10 minutes, but as long as it almost got to a half hour (27-29 minutes). I'm thankful I have an hour lunch, but I've overheard other customers who have had to leave when it has been like this due to only having a half hour. Most of the time, like anywhere, it comes down to staffing, which I can understand having worked before in similar environments.

I don't bring this up to dig on the place, overall I keep coming back so its still good. All I can say to the staff is simple: Keep up the good work. You guys provide a necessary service in town, and a lot of people come to you for their lunch time. Always that drive thru is filled when I come on lunch, so your doing a good job. Just don't let those jerks you get every so often get to you.

Enough things went bad in this visit to ruin four visits. My advice, find another McDonalds.

We left without our food and without asking for a refund. The sounds of arguments from the kitchen were only occasionally drowned out by the arguments in the lobby.

If there was a manager there, he wasn’t brave enough to stick his head up front. Too busy berating his minimum wage employees.

We ordered food from the kiosk, and left after 20 minutes. We had not been acknowledged once. There were probably seven other groups waiting for their food in the lobby by the time we left. Nothing had come out of the kitchen during the time we were there.

I really wanted to tell them to stop accepting new orders since it didn’t seem to be possible for them to actually produce any food.

Every time I come here, it’s a 25 minute wait for food. They need to stop calling at fast food and then when you get it, it’s cold…. Applebee’s and red Robin are faster

The entire place is clean VERY CLEAN including the restrooms!!! The staff is very polite and helpful. I recommend getting the Double 'Der with cheese, extra onion and pickle. French chef's kiss. For those not in the know 'Der refers to the Quarter PounDER!

The absolute slowest service I’ve ever seen. Over 35minutes waiting on food, the people before us still haven’t received their food. The server has an attitude with the customers because they’re upset. This place is a disaster.

The good I got was nasty. I thought if I went in person maybe? Might be a little better. NOPE WORSE I just don't understand. If I do Door dash it's wrong. Went in today in person and still wrong.

Came here with my step daughter for dinner. The service was fast and friendly. The play place and bathroom were clean. The manager offered us ice cream on the house and also twice a nice young man named Jaden came to our table to see if we needed anything. Nice change of pace from your typical fast food experience!

Worked for the gm of this establishment prior and he was excellent to work for. Always cared about the staff and provided excellent customer service. Was sad to see him go but hopefully his new staff loves working for him too. #wemissgrimace

This location is getting worse and worse. It’s advertise that it closes at midnight and I got to this location before 11:30. No one took my order and I saw one worker who was outside.I will never come back to this location.
