We tried this place on a whim and were sorely disappointed. We had the crab app which came with weirdly seasoned tortilla chips. My husband had the jalapeño burger which was cooked so thoroughly it was hard and dry. I had a Caesar salad and sweet potato fries. The salad was dressed with a pretty foul tasting dressing and the fries were so overseasoned they were basically inedible. The lights were turned on so bright for most of the evening that it was uncomfortable sitting there. Later on they turned them down a bit which was welcomed. Also, THE MUSIC OMG. This place has a speakeasy vibe and they were playing Bruce Springsteen and Elton John- absolutely awful.

Suggestions: This COULD be an awesome place. The drinks were decent, the ambiance was cool but the music and lights need work and they are a quick fix!

The food part....eh...the chef needs some help. The menu was created with the right idea in mind but not executed well. The ceasar salad should have a nice FRESH dressing on it and shouldnt be smothered. The fries could use a lot less coating and please stop putting whatever seasoning is on the tortilla chips because it's not great. The crab dip could use some lightness I would add a bunch of chopped green onion to that dip and it would be banging!

Great atmosphere, staff and food. We started with the crab and corn dip,I had the fried chicken and churros and my husband had the grilled chicken tacos and everything was delish! The only issue was the strawberry on the chicken and churros was past its prime and had a little mold on it, but I didn't think the chicken and churros needed the fruit. Overall, we would definitely go back.

I have had this restaurant on my list of places to try for awhile now. A friend and I met up for dinner last night and had an enjoyable experience.
To begin, there is a great vibe to the place; love the speakeasy feel. No loud music playing, so you can actually have a conversation. Very relaxed and didn't feel rushed at all. Our server (also the bartender) Brandon did a great job of handling both the bar and the tables nearby he was waiting on. Big props to him for being completely relaxed and chill as he moved effortlessly among everyone and was friendly and pleasant, too.
Neither my friend nor I drink alcohol, so we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice mocktail menu. She ordered the Summer Peach Fizz and loved it; the same was true for me with the Coconut Pineapple Lemonade.

We each ordered tacos - fish for her and grilled chicken for me. She proclaimed hers "okay"; for the price, they didn't seem very full, but they did taste good. Mine were excellent - great flavor to the chicken, cooked well, and pretty full. They didn't come with a side, which was fine as they were filling, but at $22, I feel they should have or had a lower price point. I do understand restaurant costs these days, but that seems a bit steep for, essentially, 3 tacos.

Churros were the pick for dessert. They were delicious! Served with a salted caramel sauce (I might have dipped the strawberry garnish in it). Definitely recommend and could be shared as there were 4 in the order.

Overall, a repeat for me as the service was great (which can be hard to find these days), it was a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours, and the food was very good. They have a seasonal menu, so I would also be curious to see what is offered on the new one as fall/winter approaches.

Unfortunately they stopped happy hours for July and August. Easy way to dissuade locals/year round customers. Food is usually good but inconsistent at times.

Stumbled into this place after dinner across the street, and was so pleasantly surprised. I had one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life called the Hayride, and the margarita was also very good. Great service as well has secured me as a returning customer!

Nice place with a cool speakeasy vibe inside. The staff was very attentive and took care of everything we needed. The cocktails are great. The fried chicken and beignets were delicious. The Fronkenburger is also a must try. The crispy fish tacos were also good. I didn't love the sour cherry shrimp but I think that's my personal taste. The only nit-picks I have are the menus could use a wipe down and they also seem to still be using a winter themed menu. I enjoyed going though and I will go back for sure.

This used to be my go-to place to eat every weekend. Sadly, the consistency is just not there. Sometimes the food is great, other times, not so much. I had an inedible chicken sandwich before and sweet potatoes in a salad that were rock hard. Sometimes, grilled citrus is served with the items as stated in the menu, sometimes it’s not. The fish is usually good, but for months, they were accidentally serving the wrong portion and giving 2 pieces. So when I started going, I used to get the 2 pieces only to be told months later, it was incorrect and should be a single piece. The fries are sometimes under seasoned, sometimes over. It’s a really cool looking place with interesting drinks. The chicken tenders and mini sliders are good options. The brownie sundae is dangerously good. I wish the food would be consistent in terms of temperature, portion sizes, and quality. I would have given it a 5 when I first started coming here but the food hasn’t been great the past few times and service was so slow, we were there an hour (after being seated immediately), waiting for our food and our check. Eating took about 35 minutes so the majority of our time was just sitting there. Staff turnover seems really high.

Clarification…the wait for a table outside was unclear (who would be seated first). Took forever to get our food. The fish tacos and beer were good but the Caesar salad seemed straight from a bag (stale croutons, tasteless cheese) for a ridiculous price of $14. Our server was very nice.

19th Century ambiance, with food and drink that is not the run-of-the-mill. Service is prompt, attentive and well-paced. Cocktails are very well executed with special offerings from an excellent bar. The James Bond Martini, the Jalapeno Margarita and the Hibiscus Margarita are a few examples of cocktails prepared expertly with uncommon ingredients and quality preparation. Small plates and large plates are not normal fare; fresh, flavorful and add to the experience of dining in this 19th century inn. Dining on the porch on Front Street or inside the cozy dining area and bar, there is a throw-back to simpler times. The owners have created an experience to be enjoyed. This is a fun place to spend time.

Been wanting to try out this one for awhile. I waited for a beautiful day to sit outside and everything was delicious! We ordered the small plates because we couldn’t decide and it left room for dessert! Sliders were perfect. Sweet potato fries were SO yummy. And the cherry shrimp we’re still talking about. But the beignets? Amazing!

$22 for a belvedere martini. Didn’t realize we were in NYC. Regular well martini $14, $8 extra for Belvedere, seems a bit excessive. Asked about the price when the bill came was told it’s the same as Saratoga prices, however I have gotten top shelf martinis in Saratoga at nice places for $16. Just seems a bit crazy for a place where most places close at 9, plus restaurant is not in Saratoga. Won’t be coming back here.
