My husband and I have been to The Galley twice before this past Saturday night. Both times, the food has been excellent. The wings especially have been some of the best we've ever had. But the service each time has been very shaky. Barely passable. The second time we were there, the bartender (owner maybe), said it had been quiet so he had sent all his help home. Then it got busy so he was running back and forth from the bar to the dining room. When we went in on Saturday, the same bartender said sit wherever you'd like. It was fairly busy as it was around six and there was a live band. We sat at a table in the dining room and waited for approximately 10 minutes. There was a young girl who was apparently waiting tables and completely ignored us. I actually went up and got our own menus. Another 10 minutes of being ignored. No one ever came over, no one ever said I'll be right with you. My husband said, that's it, we're out of here. The bartender was still behind the bar when we left and no one acknowledged us on the way out. Great food, but the service is severely lacking. Seriously doubt we'll be back when the restaurant staff ignores a paying customer.

My kids have been begging me to try their favorite restaurant for months now. We finally came and brought a few friends. The waitress was amazing and doing the best she should could with being the only person doing the whole front, back, and bar area After ordering and waiting for almost an hr we were told the restaurant was out of bacon which almost half the menu has bacon on the food so not a good thing to run out of. So more than half our party had to pick something else, and half of what we wanted had marinara sauce on it which was also out. When our food finally came out the burgers were super wet and pink when we said no pink, and the fries were cold. On a positive note, the fish fry and fish tacos that a couple people ordered from our group they all said were amazing.

I stopped in to the Galley for the first time tonight and will definitely be back. Their burgers are hands down the best around, cooked to perfection and I as able to modify the bun to gluten free. Their whole menu can be made gluten free. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

My kids and I absolutely LOVE the Tuesday, Taco and Trivia night. Lauren is a gem. Her enthusiasm and kindness is infectious and makes the overall experience super fun. The food is great, especially for the price. The management is clearly working diligently to establish a name in the area and in my opinion, are hard working, dedicated business owners. Gotta give this place a try and when you do, maintain perspective. I’m horrified by some of the poor reviews. If you’re looking for a “Michelin” experience ,this isn’t the place but if you’re looking for a casual, local, friendly, tasty meal, this is your restaurant!!
Went to The Galley Bar and Grill in Ballston Spa for the first time last night with my mother and girlfriend, even though we’ve lived in the area since it opened in 2021 — and wow, we’ve clearly been missing out! The food was absolutely phenomenal — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. Our waitress was awesome too — super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We’re already talking about going back. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t yet!

We were riding through Malta and wanted to stop somewhere after being out all day. Judging by the parking lot full of cars this place must be good! (And it sure was!)
The owner helped us out with our indecisiveness - as the menu is impressive and big. Once the food arrived it tasted amazing, we wanted to eat some home-fare and it didn't disappoint.
Highly recommend it to travellers driving through Malta. Staff & owners are very nice, food was warm and the drinks were cold, ah, and the place itself has a great atmosphere too! 😁
