We decided to step out for a night out and try this restaurant. We arrived at 6:53 for a 7pm reservation, the hostess was not personable and rather rude when we stepped up saying they were seating exactly to time no worry we went to the bar next to the restaurant and had a drinks. When we came back the same hostess still had the attitude towards us, having a bad day who knows but the treatment was unnecessary. Upon sitting the hostess reminded us several times to be patient with our server as she would be to us soon, we were greeted by a nice server who we hold no account to our experience. We ordered drinks and appetizers French onion soup and the spinach and crab dip although not hot we found to be good. Our table ordered 3 filets, and one Delmonico with a side of rice pilaf. After being seated at 7pm we did not get our entrees until after 8:30pm. The two filets cooked medium rare were disgusting, like a flash thaw or recooked flavor and not even a quarter of each consumed nor boxed to take and one entree was missing the gravy with the potatoes, we tried the medium filet and found that to taste much better than the others. The Delmonico was very much a strip steak as we expressed to the server and they assumed we maybe weren't aware of cuts of beef, as you can tell by the thousands of reviews for restaurants left, we eat at hundreds of steakhouses throughout the US, the rice pilaf tasted although it had sat all day and refreshed in water. The server did the best she could serving and maybe she thought we were just trying to get a free meal but this was awful. We would not recommend this restaurant, as when we voiced our concern they basically showed no surprise like they already knew the food they were serving was not good.

The garlic rolls were awesome. The lobster was perfect. But my prime rib was raw and I ordered it medium. Waitress took it back and brought it back seconds later still raw but browner on one side . Chef slapped it on the grill for a second and through it back in the plate still raw mashed potatoes way way to thick dessert was great

My guests and I took advantage of Fortunes Valentines dinner special last night. 159.00 for a great meal for 2 that included dessert and a glass of wine. Also included in the price was 90.00 in free play. We had the shrimp cocktail ( 6 huge shrimp) Our main was 2, 14oz prime rib slabs with a baked potato. The ribs were cooked to perfection. The desserts were Raspberry cheesecake and a deluxe chocolate cake. The pinnacle of the meal was the great service. Our server Ryleigh was fun, quick and super personable. She took excellent care of us. The photos here don’t do the meal justice.

Food was delicious, we all had the stuffed haddock. Garlic mashed we're not really hot and seemed like either leftovers or just say for a few hours. We had French onion soup and seafood bisque which all was delicious! I think it server was Chris, very attentive. That's hard to find. Prices were so reasonable I would definitely go back. Many other customers ordered the fish fry so I'll try that next.

Very surprised Fortunes is still in business. 2 out of the 4 dinners were COLD, explained to waiter baked potato was cold, he replaced with another cold one. Lasagna was luke warm. Waiter (Red) was excellent. Never will return! Very disappointed for $220 dinners.

Veggies were undercooked. The only good experience was the waiter named, Red. Took a very long time for entrees to come out. $200 wasted. Terrible experience.

Everything was great as usual however all 5 of us ordered the early bird fish fry(reservations at 5pm) and we were charged full price, not early bird pricing. We didn't notice until we got home.

This visit was back in March, but the meal definitely left an impression worth revisiting. I ordered my steak medium-rare and it arrived closer to medium, but honestly it was still incredibly juicy with a great char and a generous dollop of herbed butter that melted right into every bite. The fries were exactly how I like them—crispy, golden, and perfect for dipping into the side of ketchup.
The calamari really stood out. Light, crunchy, and not overly greasy, with both marinara and a creamy dipping sauce that complemented it well. Portion size was solid too.
Our server was friendly and gave us some great tips for being first-timers in that part of New York, which added to the experience. Overall, a satisfying meal with just a minor miss on the steak temp—solid 4.7 out of 5.
