“Arrived at 7:55 unaware that this establishment closes @8 pm. I asked what time they close and the owner said 8 pm. I went to leave and he said wait where are going. We close at 8 but as long as you sit before you have time. Waitress was friendly and wasn't acting as we bothered her. Even the other waitresses were talking to us and joking around! phenomenal service Definitely do not find this hospitality or customer service now days! Sport of Kings you are top notch in our book. We appreciate and thank you so much!”

This place is the closest pub we have found to actually being in Ireland. We had no idea this gem is in our backyard, just 10 minutes from home. The traditional meals are out of this world and the staff is absolutely fantastic. Stepping in the door, literally took my wife and I back to Ireland for the time we were having dinner together. The decor, the ambiance is quite authentic. Great beer selection 👌🏻 and food is fantastic!

“Traveling through and my wife picked this place to eat based on everyone's different preference. This place has a wide variety to please even the pickiest of eaters. Large portions and food was delicious. Service was okay, this is a busy place and kinda expected it. Finished my meal before the waitress came back around and checked on us to see how it was and if I wanted anything else. I did want another beer but usually not after my meal so I declined. We paid and waited for a to go container that my wife actually asked for 3 times. Food was great, it's a busy place so expect that you may not get attentive service, but they are friendly and get you taken care of most of the time.”

“I had a truly delicious breakfast at Settler’s Family restaurant in Batavia, NY.
It's wonderful to see a family-run businesses that has endured the tests of time, operating for over 40 years.
I also appreciated the fact that this fine establishment honours our 2nd amendment rights for responsible CCW holders to carry their firearms as posted on the door.
My great experience was from beginning to end as I was welcomed by very jovious fellow diners who graciously held the door open for me, then I was seated by the friendly and welcoming Hostess named Brandy.
My server Ashley did a great job of taking my special order, and the food was a delicious homemade breakfast with flavourfully spiced home fries, my omelette was also quite tasty.
I saw a wide variety of desserts that also featured classic Greek options. The ice cream and Turtle cheesecake looked exceptionally tempting, and had I not been satisfied from my substantial breakfast, I would have indulged.
I recommend and will definitely return!”

“You step into a cozy cafe, that surprisingly has more seating than what seems from the outside. They have a variety of syrups, but also a dedicated special drink menu. The breakfast sandwiches came out HOT, which you do not find often at coffee shops. Went on a Saturday, so it was a 5-10 minute wait on drinks. Highly recommend”

Pro tip #2: ask for Madalynn to be your waitress. I have many years of restaurant experience and I've never encountered such a glowing personality. She truly defines grace under pressure. If I owned this place, I would give her a raise and a promotion. Simply elite service. She should teach a class”

“Amazing Dinner , Food and Staff very satisfying”

“Based on outside appearances we almost didn’t go in. This is one case where appearances are deceiving. While building is old inside is clean, food delicious. We ordered breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was impressive…soft roll, warmed on grill, good egg, good bacon. Coffee was good too. My husband had a BLT which he said was very good. Friendly atmosphere, would return if we’re in area.”

“I always place a mobile order for walk in. Today that wasn’t an option and upon showing up the drive thru was out the road and not moving. After sitting for awhile I decided to walk in to check on my order since it had already been 15 minutes since I placed my order. Upon entering they were clearly severely short staffed for a Sunday morning but a young lady asked how we could be helped and I explained the situation and she got right on making our drinks. I was super appreciate of her positive attitude even while working during a busy stressful time. Every-time I’m there the employees are friendly and helpful!
I think any negative reviews are actually for the other location. Because I’ve never had an issue at the west main location.”

“The best bar in the state of New York. Frank will take care of you like a father. Genesee is $2.25 a bottle (November 2024) and the bathroom is functional. Do not visit Batavia without spending time at Kelly’s Holland Inn.”

“Pick up experience is fast and easy, and the food here is delicious! A great option for those looking to have a filling meal thats also solidly healthy and will keep you not just full but feeling fueled for whatever your day brings. I love sweet potatoes so seeing them as a side option made me happy and despite being someone who avoids kale and isn’t a fan of apple in my coleslaw I enjoyed the apple kale slaw enough that it’s tough choosing one between it and the sweet potatoes so I just get both now which i think is pretty impressive. “Went there for a private Graduation ? Party. The whole restaurant and volleyball/Cornhole areas were awesome to keep people entertained. Waitress that was present was absolutely amazing. Friendly, constantly cleaning up tables and keeping hot chicken wings on the food table.”

“The pizza here is always hot and loaded with the perfect amount of toppings, and the crust is absolutely delicious. The chicken wings are cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce. The mozzarella sticks come with a unique dipping sauce that’s definitely worth trying. Service is fast—our food is usually ready for pickup within 15–20 minutes—and the staff is always very pleasant. A great spot we keep coming back to.”

“Unexpected but enjoyable dinner at the casino! I stopped into fortunes on the way home from western NY and was pleasantly surprised. For a steakhouse in a small town i didn't have high expectations. My server Red was very lovely, checking in often and being very helpful. The hostess was also nice and the restaurant itself was nice, and surprisingly not too loud considering it's inside of the casino and was relatively packed during most of my meal. By no means the best steakhouse I've ever visited, but my steak was cooked nicely, my appetizer was good, my drink was potent but pretty well made. Only thing a little lacking were the sides. Mashed potatoes tasted over processed and like they've been sitting under a heat lamp and veggies were covered in seasoning but somehow still lacked any flavor. Neither were “bad” but just not up to par for a steakhouse, when good/great ones usually have very well executed sides typically. Spinach and crab dip was good and was huge! Herb butter on steak was nice, as well as a tasty tobacco onion topper. Their bread rolls are somewhat basic with a little Parmesan on them. Ordered cream brûlée as well and it was good (ate at home and held up pretty well). If you're craving steak and are nearby, worth a visit.”

A Hidden Gem with Local History and Heart!

I absolutely loved my visit to this historic bar and grill! The atmosphere is rich with character and the staff were incredibly friendly! They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The food was fantastic with that homemade feel you just can’t get from a chain restaurant.

Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Great service, delicious food and a piece of local history all rolled into one!”

“My husband and I have dined at Fortune's several times and find it to be one of the better eating establishments in the area. Their menu is quite extensive and we have always had a great meal. The atmosphere is upscale and I consider it a great choice to celebrate a special occasion or just a nice dinner out any day of the week.”

Your workers are rude, they talk crap on Facebook when all you’re trying to do is run a business and have them clean up after themselves, and do their job!!!! I brought my children here a few days ago and until the rude teenagers are fired we will not be returning. “Such a hidden gem in Batavia! We were stopping by on a road trip and ordered a hot and sour soup along with a Singapore rice noodles. The food was surprisingly authentic and better than many Chinese places I’ve had before.

Large portions, lots of ingredients (tons of veggies, pork, chicken and shrimp in the rice noodle) and even the soup. Definitely recommend!

“It's a plain atmosphere with good conversation amongst locals and the interior looks the exact same as it always has. The sauce was delicious, the cheese was stretchy and melty. The crust had a nice crunch yet soft at the same time. The customer service was professional and helpful. My partner asked for extra cheese. If you want to eat the pizza from a Goofy movie, order with extra cheese, it looks the exact same! It's not really a necessity tho. I definitely recommend!”

“My little guy’s school orders subway each week - this week, his envelope was left in his bookbag. My husband and I rushed to Subway with the idea to order his lunch for tomorrow so he would not miss out. The employee at the window at about 6:35pm recognized the form. She offered to put the form on the desk for the subs to be made tomorrow and delivered to the school. We didn’t realize this was the subway they go thru and greatly appreciate this employee for being so nice, so caring and so amazing.”

“What an amazing find! Portions size is well worth what you. The flavor they bring is out of this world where your taste buds won't be disappointed. I had the honey badger personal pizza that was bigger than my 10 inch dinner plate. There was heat, there was sweet, there was salvory and to have bacon and chicken just finished out the combo. The pizza dough, duuude, was nice crisp on the bottom and soft in the middle. If you get a chance to go e your taste buds an experience highly recommend this place.”
