“Arrived at 7:55 unaware that this establishment closes @8 pm. I asked what time they close and the owner said 8 pm. I went to leave and he said wait where are going. We close at 8 but as long as you sit before you have time. Waitress was friendly and wasn't acting as we bothered her. Even the other waitresses were talking to us and joking around! phenomenal service Definitely do not find this hospitality or customer service now days! Sport of Kings you are top notch in our book. We appreciate and thank you so much!”

“My husband and I just got married there on Saturday, and he loves golfing there. The course is in great shape, but thanks to Danielle the day was absolutely perfect. “Dark and Quaint would best describe the atmosphere. Service was friendly but it did take 25 for 2 burgers and some fries. But alas, the Bourbon Burger was delicious. And worth the wait. Price was Excellent to top it all off. Just go, you won't be disappointed”

“Food was delicious, we all had the stuffed haddock. Garlic mashed we're not really hot and seemed like either leftovers or just say for a few hours. We had French onion soup and seafood bisque which all was delicious! I think it server was Chris, very attentive. That's hard to find. Prices were so reasonable I would definitely go back. Many other customers ordered the fish fry so I'll try that next.”

“No our first dining experience here, but my first review. The facility is a fantastically rustic bar/restaurant run by the same family for 56 years! and counting. The octagonal dining area gives full view of an open flame grill that gives great comfort and a home town feeling. Plenty of tables and chairs, quite nicely decorated open beam walls and ceiling. Our waitress/server, Vickie is a sweet woman, very attentive to your needs and quick on the draw with drinks and food delivery. A couple came in that hadn't been in the area for decades and it was a pleasure listening to Vickie's brief explanation of the restaurant and it's history. The couple clearly felt very comfortable. On to our experience . . We enjoyed a cold beer, fresh made bread (banana and plain) and our appetizers as we briefly waited for our dinner orders. My small chef salad was just the size I ordered, garnished with a few green peppers, tomato, etc. My husband enjoyed a bowl of cheeseburger soup, he say's was also delicious. Our meals arrived: mine was a fish fry with coleslaw, french fries, ample tarter sauce, and lemon. The FISH WAS COOKED PERFECT! I loved the nicely crisped batter with steaming tender fish when I pierced the batter with my fork. The french fries a similar to fresh cut size, and cooked perfectly, as well. My husband enjoyed a plate of fried breaded shrimp and french fries. Having enjoyed the shrimp on a previous occasion we knew it would be great! Clean shrimp, no tails, cooked and ready to pop in your mouth. Juicy and delicious. Plenty of cocktail sauce. It was nice to watch Chef Maureen cooking orders over the flame grill; a nice thick piece of pork, sizzling away. Such a great dinner and friendly people. Thank you! We will return!

“We have been coming here for several years now and this place never disappoints. Roman's has become one of our main go-to's. Whether it's sitting in the dining room with a ribeye and bottle of wine or in the patio area for pizza and beer, it's always good. The prices are good too. Best of all, many on their wait staff do an excellent job; they're better than most fine dining establishments. If I had to give something negative, I ask that the bathrooms be kept up a touch-bit better.”

“I always place a mobile order for walk in. Today that wasn’t an option and upon showing up the drive thru was out the road and not moving. After sitting for awhile I decided to walk in to check on my order since it had already been 15 minutes since I placed my order. Upon entering they were clearly severely short staffed for a Sunday morning but a young lady asked how we could be helped and I explained the situation and she got right on making our drinks. I was super appreciate of her positive attitude even while working during a busy stressful time. Every-time I’m there the employees are friendly and helpful!
I think any negative reviews are actually for the other location. Because I’ve never had an issue at the west main location.”

A Hidden Gem with Local History and Heart!

I absolutely loved my visit to this historic bar and grill! The atmosphere is rich with character and the staff were incredibly friendly! They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The food was fantastic with that homemade feel you just can’t get from a chain restaurant.

Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Great service, delicious food and a piece of local history all rolled into one!”

“It's a plain atmosphere with good conversation amongst locals and the interior looks the exact same as it always has. The sauce was delicious, the cheese was stretchy and melty. The crust had a nice crunch yet soft at the same time. The customer service was professional and helpful. My partner asked for extra cheese. If you want to eat the pizza from a Goofy movie, order with extra cheese, it looks the exact same! It's not really a necessity tho. I definitely recommend!”

“Went there for a private Graduation ? Party. The whole restaurant and volleyball/Cornhole areas were awesome to keep people entertained. Waitress that was present was absolutely amazing. Friendly, constantly cleaning up tables and keeping hot chicken wings on the food table.”

“Food was great. I got Thi-regular. It's a very creative food. Adding chicken was a little disappointing with the amount and how it was buried under the noodles. The size was definitely big. The whole bowl is the same flavor, it'd be good with some veggies or salad sides to have some fresh.”

“The best bar in the state of New York. Frank will take care of you like a father. Genesee is $2.25 a bottle (November 2024) and the bathroom is functional. Do not visit Batavia without spending time at Kelly’s Holland Inn.”

“The best traditional wings in Genesee County, in my opinion. Really great pizza too, of course, but that goes without saying for this historic pizza restaurant Boomers still refer to as Pontillo’s. The house salad here was fresh and very tasty. We arrived here on Christmas Eve last year after a long journey and our server was as friendly as can be. Fun and festive atmosphere too with a good crowd.”

“My Husband and I just ate here for the first time today and it's some of the best food we've had in a long time. The pizza was incredibly delicous, it tasted like REAL pizza (It puts Domino's and Pizza Hut to shame) as well as their Spaghetti & Meatballs! The staff was friendly, Service was quick and price's we're very reasonable for all that you get. The menu is MASSIVE, so lot's of different options depending on what your in the mood for. “I got the half rack of ribs, some of the best ribs ive had in awhile. The tables were a bit too scrunched up, too close together, like they tried to squeeze too much seating into too small a space. Other than that, no complaints”
