“First time we've been here and definitely won't be our last. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. Chicken was moist and flavorful and seasoned just right. I had the black and blue burger. Done perfectly and the beef has a unique seasoning. Unlike most burgers that are plain hamburger this one is lightly seasoned and done to perfection. Both plates came with a generous supply of fries. Will be back with our friends. This place is a hidden gem.”

“Our first time over to dine at the Alabama Hotel. We arrived at 2 PM and noticed for the time of day the parking lot had more then a few cars in the parking lot for time of day. This is a historical hotel which dates back to the 1800 and has been kept update and modernized. Handicapped acceptable which includes parking( a nice sized lot off street parking) as well as a handicap bar to get up a few stairs and wide enough for wheel chair. We were greeted by our server and she was the only server which kept up with at least ten tables as well as a continuous amount of people coming into the resturant. She greeted us with a smile and told us 2 pages of the menu were available as well as broiled fish and fish fry. Entree included a nice fresh salad bar also a side. Plenty of sides were included on the menu per choice. My partner and I both ordered the fish. He ordered broiled Cajun as for me the fried. My side was asperges which was scrumptious. A nice sized amount of asperges. They do not skimp. Salad bar was awesome! Fresh spring lettuce bread rolls macaroni salad Cole slaw beets a variety of dressings bacon bits etc. Soup is also available for a small charge. Menu offers prime rib chicken and dumplings a wide variety of fish and sea food and more for dinner. Alabama hotel also offers special brunch. Check out the fb page for more info. “Terra house is hands down the best place in Akron . Love the fresh and local produce and meats. And home made bread is to die for. I have also brought my boys for there cooking classes, they learned a lot and the food was so yummy . We will continue to eat Terra house .”

“Heaven on earth that is served on a plate! Owner is an amazing woman who really puts her heart and soul into her business. She was great. Very happy and attentive. An absolutely wonderful person. The restaurant is exactly what you want a bbq place to look like... not a lot of bells and whistles because the food does all the talking! Place was clean and bathroom was spotless too. Very happy I drove the 60 minutes to try this place. There are no amount of miles that will keep me from good food. Also, loved the homemade bbq sauce! “Had dinner with good friends who were regulars at the restaurant. This was our first visit, but will not be our last. An absolutely fantastic family restaurant with great food and wine. Had the opportunity to meet the chef, Jerry Clementi, who greeted us and we told him of the great dinner that we had. Hunter, our waiter was fantastic and very knowledgeable in both the food and wine. A small but wonderful family run operation, who are always looking for new customers. Make the short drive out to Akron and have a relaxed and outstanding Italian dinner. They are open from Wednesday to Saturday nights.”

I got the Oat Milk Peanut Butter & Cookie, it's $3 for the kiddie and $5 for the medium - Came to exactly $16 Canadian once converted on my AMEX for 2 kiddie cones and 1 medium.One of the best places for Ice Cream, they offer Perry's ice cream. They offer a ton of flavors and even have a drive through window! We stopped here on the way home from Darien Lake as it's not far from there. We all had different flavors, I try to get lactose free when I can and they had one made with Oat Milk and peanut butter, it was by far one of the best Ice Creams I ever had! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge, will be back for sure!”

“We stopped for dinner with no reservations and they figured out a way to accommodate us. The food was great, we had Holiday pasta, mahi-mahi and lamb and all our meals were great. We will definitely stop again when we’re in the area, but will make reservations first!The only negative is that the handicapped entrance is a narrow ramp, and you have to knock on the door to get someone to unlock it.”

“I walked into this place based on the high rating and I needed a cup of coffee after coming off the Thruway and I didn't want to go to a chain restaurant location. I walked in and, it wasn't busy, there was cute decor and classical music playing on the stereo. Bought a delightful selection of baked goods and coffee. “Always a must when you are in town. Their ice cream is awesome and a great selection. I had the peanut butter chip and the chocolate peanut butter. Both were delicious. Service was really great too.My only suggestion would be to put umbrellas up on the picnic tables for some shade.”

“I have been a patron of Tonys since i was a child. I always looked forward to Friday nights because dad would bring home the pizza in town. Is it trendy? Not really. Is it modern? Not in the slightest. Tonys is the pizza you go to when you want big old cheesy slice of pizza that you know will make you fatter. Their wings are okay but we both know the only reason you go their is for their pizza or a famous calzone!!If you are a sucker for a classic small town pizza this is for you!”

“First off, I love "off the beaten path" places that are on the far-opposite side of the pretentious spectrum. This place is affectionately known by locals as "The Mogadore", which is synonymous with the North Pembroke hamlet where its located. Since I gravitate to dive bar type places, this would have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for their very limited menu and cash-only policy. Still, they're a solid 4 starts based on: Cozy atmosphere, friendly-as-can-be service, and their wings are nothing short of awesome (2nd best in county, I'm told!). French fries were darn good, and I also hear their Friday fish-fry is excellent as well. In summary, The Mogadore / North Pembroke Hotel is a local gem that has been around for 50 years or more, and that's because it keeps it simple and focuses on their strengths.”
