“Heaven on earth that is served on a plate! Owner is an amazing woman who really puts her heart and soul into her business. She was great. Very happy and attentive. An absolutely wonderful person. The restaurant is exactly what you want a bbq place to look like... not a lot of bells and whistles because the food does all the talking! Place was clean and bathroom was spotless too. Very happy I drove the 60 minutes to try this place. There are no amount of miles that will keep me from good food. Also, loved the homemade bbq sauce! Please do yourself a favor and give this place a shot!”
“Sitting at a new restaurant called “Parker’s Pit” on Niagara Falls Blvd , where Como’s at the Airport was! Their Host is called Parker and he is the most Amazing, cordial, polite, young man you will ever meet he is beyond his years in professionalism!!!! His parents can be so very proud of this young man!!! Our server Jalyssa and the people who own this restaurant are so kind and sweet!!! You all have to give this place a try!!”
“Purchased 1 rye loaf, 2 cinnamon raisin loaves, a few scones…I just sliced the rye and it came beautiful! Perfect slices! We made mayonnaise and German bologna with cheese on the rye for dinner and it was outstanding! Looking forward to the raisin bread for breakfast on Fathers Day! Thank you so much!”
“We eat here every Friday night. They have a delicious fish fry and tonight I had on special corn beef and cabbage. There was enough served on my plate for almost 3 people. They have memorized our drink order and are so attentive during our meal for refill. we love them.”
“The pizza here is my go to spot for good pizza. I have closer pizzerias I can go to but to me it's worth the couple extra minutes drive. I have been going here for many many years and will continue to.”
“Newly remodeled. Very nice and bright with the new windows. The bar is completely updated and there are several TVs in there. Today we watched some March madness and they even threw on a kids show for the kids on one tv. The owners were there and talked with us a bit. Very nice people! The fish fry was the crispiest one I’ve ever had. Great size too. Chicken fingers were really good as well. Prices were very reasonable. $65 for 4 meals.Definitely recommend a trip here.”
“Mom and I came in from out of town to visit. She had been here before, but this was my first visit since they had opened.I had their seasonal special Easter Egg Latte and a hot cross bun and both were soo good!!Love how it feels so homey in there; like you're sitting in your own living room.”
“Small town bar and grill with friendly welcome. Music was was loud yet culturally diverse.Wings were greasy, roast beef was perfect :)Beautiful placemats on table, best I have ever season on all my travel adventures.Parking: Parking is on street with slanted hill. Not the safest for seniors .”
“Great food, good service. Very nice people. We will be back again!Kid-friendliness: Crayons were provided and they can color on the table paper. Catered to my daughters needs.”
“Our first time over to dine at the Alabama Hotel. We arrived at 2 PM and noticed for the time of day the parking lot had more then a few cars in the parking lot for time of day. This is a historical hotel which dates back to the 1800 and has been kept update and modernized. Handicapped acceptable which includes parking( a nice sized lot off street parking) as well as a handicap bar to get up a few stairs and wide enough for wheel chair. We were greeted by our server and she was the only server which kept up with at least ten tables as well as a continuous amount of people coming into the resturant. She greeted us with a smile and told us 2 pages of the menu were available as well as broiled fish and fish fry. Entree included a nice fresh salad bar also a side. Plenty of sides were included on the menu per choice. My partner and I both ordered the fish. He ordered broiled Cajun as for me the fried. My side was asperges which was scrumptious. A nice sized amount of asperges. They do not skimp. Salad bar was awesome! Fresh spring lettuce bread rolls macaroni salad Cole slaw beets a variety of dressings bacon bits etc. Soup is also available for a small charge. Menu offers prime rib chicken and dumplings a wide variety of fish and sea food and more for dinner. Alabama hotel also offers special brunch. Check out the fb page for more info. Thank you Alabama for a fine dining experience! We will be back”
“Visited Medina and had the best fish fry! I grew up in Medina, and have fond memories of Rudy's from the late 80s. Visiting recently, we stayed at the Hart House Hotel across the street, and walked over for both dinner and breakfast the next day. Walking in, we were greeted by the same waitress I remember serving us back then! In a small way, you can go home again! I think this place would feel like home even if you weren't from Medina.”
“Just recently met some coworkers here to grab a bite to eat and have a couple drinks after work. The atmosphere was awesome and felt very welcoming. The staff was very polite and made several stops to make sure our needs were fulfilled and showed great customer service. Great drink list and the pretzel appetizer with the beer butter was amazing.”
“We are residents of the village, so extremely enthralled with this type of eatery in our neighborhood. If you like authentic Mexican food, this place does not disappoint! And this is the ONLY place where my young daughter will eat tacos, snubbing everyplace else, which speaks volumes to me. They also have fantastic smoothies, the best we have ever had... not to mention their ice cream selection, which this area so desperately needed after the other local shop closed down several years ago. A little on the pricey side, but very well worth it!! We are absolutely beyond satisfied, repeat customers!!”
“I'm not a fan of Medina. Sorry. I'm just not. Having grown up in small town America I'm completely over the "in the middle of nowhere" vibe small townships like this place throw off.One thing you can always count on in small town USA though is a family oriented restaurant that has excellent friendly quick service with a smile a bottomless cup of coffee and excellent "home cooked" meals. Captain Kidz does not disappoint and gives you this down home feel without even trying. The atmosphere is friendly and bustling. The staff is friendly and familiar (even if like myself you happen to be a complete stranger) and the food is superb. Nothing too fancy but fulfilling and priced just right. My favorite part is they're open early for the before work crowd. If you find yourself in near Medina NY Captain Kidz is definitely worth checking out. You'll enjoy the nostalgia (if you grew up small town) you'll leave full and it doesn't break the bank. 6 outta 5 stars for this place. My go to for breakfast while I'm trapped here.”
“Great new spot to try out on the first day. Great menu items and selection of drinks. They take cash and card, as well as have an ATM. Food is very tasty and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The bar/grill has multiple TVs for sports, dart boards, tables, and restrooms. Recommend this place 100% and will come back once the large crowds settle down!”
“Great spot for dinner. Service tonight was excellent. One of our favorite spots in our favorite town. Also, their house made sangria is simply amazing.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options, and some dishes can be prepared vegetarian on request.Dietary restrictions: Asked for no cheese and they were able to accommodate.”
“Always a must when you are in town. Their ice cream is awesome and a great selection. I had the peanut butter chip and the chocolate peanut butter. Both were delicious. Service was really great too.My only suggestion would be to put umbrellas up on the picnic tables for some shade.”
“The magic of Poler’s Pub is the horseshoe bar, it keeps the good conversation flowing. The new owner of this 1902 tavern is undoubtedly a straight shooter & as honest as they come. I arrive at this conclusion for one reason: he proudly displays a large sign on an inside wall that reads [Poler’s, Established 2021]. For marketing purposes, this proprietor could have easily leveraged the century-plus operating history of this popular local bar spot, as well as the branding strength of its former name, but he chose to plant an acorn instead. I salute you for the courage of that conviction, sir, & for your military service as well. For a lot of us born before 2021 though, Poler’s Pub will always be O’Brien’s. Many a memorable night at O’Brien’s! But O’Brien’s never had a different delicious burger each week & Poler’s does, along with almost a full alphabet of great beer choices, a decent wine inventory & live music. While it can get crowded, lively & loud at times, a three-season outdoor space can handle the overflow nicely. The place got a thorough refresh under the new owner, but it still feels distinctly familiar & comfortable. Poler’s is also open more hours & later than any other public gathering place in Medina. It’s definitely your friendly neighborhood gin joint.Parking: Plenty of free parking. But please note: Poler's is next to the Medina police station, so Uber home when necessary unless you have a designated driver.”
“First the place looks great when you walk in. Selection of drinks top notch. I like an Old Fashion and they have Weller's on hand so I recommend that. The bartender is excellent. The menu wow. I had the Deviled Eggs. What is so special about Deviled Eggs you ask? Order them, thank me later.I don't necessarily go to a restaurant like this for a Cheeseburger but there are exceptions and here is a place for that exception. As a special for dessert was a Bread Pudding, very nice.I do need to get back for the Friday night Fish Fry. Check out their hour's and go see them.”
“Super authentic and delicious burrito. This place is just off the Erie canal, totally worth the detour. Servings are HUGE!Vegetarian options: We also asked for a bean burrito, also delicious”
“Amazing food. Try the tamales! The atmosphere was different than I expected. Dark but authentic. Dining room is on the small side but they have a beautiful outdoor area as well. Closed in the winter ofc. Drinks were strong, food is the key component here.Parking: Parking is tight.”
“The absolute best cookies I have ever tasted! The oatmeal, M&M and PB are my favorites. The prices are reasonable and the service is great! I wish I lived closer!”
“I’ve been ordering from here since I was 15 years old. Me and my dear mother would always get a buffalo chicken pizza and watch a movie together. Hundreds of times this pizza has arrived, perfect and consistent. They have the Absolute best buffalo chicken I’ve ever had and I look forward to my next order.”
“We had a fantastic dinner at the Country Club Family Restaurant! It was late and we missed out on the pot roast so I ate some breakfast! My friend sipped on some fantastic French onion soup and a grilled cheese sammich! Mackenzie was our waitress and was a delight! Fantastic service and the atmosphere was awesome! We throughly enjoyed our visit! Thank you!”
“Great place for a date!We took advantage of the sunset picnic in the orchard and wow. What a great time we had. The food was excellent. Wine, delicious. Most definitely worth the money. We cannot wait to do this again!”
“Very good home cooked food. Friendly staff. Delicious baked goods. Home made soups. Multiple flavor syrups. Clean and updated very cute place. We were very impressed.”
“Despite the few terrible reviews, I ordered Generals Tso's chicken combo takeout for lunch and it was ready when i arrived in 10 minutes and it tasted great. It was exactly what i was craving.”
“This is an amazing restaurant, the food tastes like home. The people are so sweet:) Food comes out QUICK & Fresh! Lighting, is perfect & feels natural. Servers & bartenders, sweet as can be!!”
“So many great things about this place! The food, the people, the draw to all that is love and light. My favorite is an egg wrap, then everything in the dessert case!”
