Ordered soft shell crab appetizer, spicy tuna roll, shrimp avocado roll and Unagidon for lunch today. Understood the unagidon was off menu and was very pleased the request was accommodated however was extremely disappointed that the eel was served atop fried rice rather than the typical steamed white rice. Not authentic for $23. Also very offended that my plate and my companion's plate were removed from the table as we were actively eating. We literally were putting food in our mouths and a man took our unfinished plates. A nearby waitress came over to apologize and said " he doesn't understand. " We were never asked if we were finished. No words were exchanged with the 50 year old looking " bus boy." This was not a misunderstanding, he just took our plates. We paid $78.26 for lunch for 2 people. Will not return. Would not recommend.

The best Japanese restaurant we have on Long Island, and been there for about 2 years, the service has always been very good, the food very good, they are always smiling, the food is fast whether the place is full or not, the prices are very very good and been to many places and without a doubt this is my favorite, well from my wife, my son and mine without a doubt 5 stars!!!! Very nice!!! PERFECT!!!!
Kid-friendliness: If your child likes sushi, duck, meat or simply the colors and designs, take it, I give mine everything and tell him it's sushi and he loves it!!!

I come here weekly the sushi is so good probly one of the best places on the island for sure!! Everyone’s friendly and the general vibe to the place and atmosphere is beautiful! All good is delicious I’ve tried everything !

Awful experience. Place reeks of cigarettes and the food was rancid. The sushi smelt awful and the manager has a terrible attitude. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Always a wait here for delivery orders. Food is never ready. If you need more prep time , Change the times on your tablet. 5 drivers all standing here waiting.

First time ordering a couple of specialty rolls and a Hibachi Chicken and Scallops Dinner. Delicious! Mochi Ice Cream was amazing! Rock Shrimp for the appetizer too. Will be ordering again soon.

Absolutely love the food here no complaints. I’m very upset with the customer service. My order was wrong I called and the lady proceeded to say “ well i repeated your order to you” meanwhile they have their music blasting and it’s hard to hear over the phone. She wasn’t helpful in solving my issue seemed like she blamed me for the whole thing.
I happened to be around bayshore and was looking for good sushi restaurants. I decided to go this one because I have been in Aji 35 smithtownI don’t know it’s same owner. service was not bad , but not impressive. food was not as good as in smith town one.It was not worthy when I pay the bill.i won’t go there , but I will go smith town Aji

When visiting LI, we often come here to eat or order out. Delish either way but I truly love the atmosphere at the restaurant! Staff is friendly, very engaging, the food is AMAZING. Legit haven’t found sushi as good. Loving the tuna salad appetizer. Try it all.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome in the restaurant! Mine aged 2-10 always enjoy themselves
Dietary restrictions: Ask for GF soy sauce. They have it!

Beware of food poisoning ordering any dishes with fruit (pineapple) due to my most recent and last meal at this once very good establishment.After informing the manager of my instant sickness I was treated like a common customer after spending thou$ands of dollar$ in the Bay Shore location over the past 10 years. This is my second occurrence of becoming ill from their prepared food from the kitchen in the last 3 years and I will never go back again. I don’t trust anything from that kitchen and trashed the entire $50 order including other dishes that came with the $20 poison chicken pineapple fried rice.The manager offered only to credit me for the poison rice not to write this review and instead I chose to write this with my name attached.I hope this serves as a warning it’s not the first time.
