Excellent. Friendly staff. Good food. And very cozy. (Tee hee). ?

Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is easy to get through, it's the second door it might be a little cumbersome. There is a step down you should watch out for, but the staff will be very helpful to accommodate you.

Honestly, I loved the atmosphere and the staff was terrific — they couldn’t have been better! My NE Clam Chowder was just OK, and maybe my expectations were too high.

This is my favorite place to get a slice of key lime pie. The graham cracker crust is brown and crispy. The filling is creamy and has a strong lime taste.

I come here at least six times a year to have a slice.

They have dessert specials as well. Below is a photo of a slice of Lemon Ice Box Pie. Note the crispy, brown graham cracker crust. It is so good!

Parking: Parking is easy to find during the week and the off season.

Food was very good! Small quiet place with a sense of nostalgia. Clam Chowder and Bisque were fantastic. Clams were a little tough. Fried Fish was phenomenal. Wait staff on point.

Chowder Bar is tucked in between the ferry and parking lots, but CB has passed the test of time with being around since 1946. This place is showing it's age but that adds to the ambiance, giving you that old rustic fishing boat feeling/decor making everything taste better.
There are a bunch of soups/bisque's and some awards have been won, so be prepared to make several visits if you want to try them all. We had the seafood bisque, it was kinda cheesy, full of seafood flavor, very nice consistency, and some pieces of what seemed like imitation crab(I think). So I'd highly recommend trying their "soup/bisque flight" and sample a few at a time( I will for sure, see pic).
I noticed a "Fishwich" on the menu, something I will surely be back for...
Anyway you look at it the, owners (usually on hand and very friendly too) have kept this place going strong for a long time.
