I wanted to share a positive experience for a great location for an event/shower/wedding.Great South Bay Brewery in Bayshore was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Dani, the events coordinator was outstanding, efficient and always quick to answer any questions. Our gathering of 70 people in their party room with golf simulators, a pool table and darts, was such a fun vibe to our special day. Members of the team; Cole, James & Debbie, went above & beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying drinks and food was nicely served. The service was outstanding, food was delicious and a great variety of drink options. I highly recommend great South Bay brewery, especially if you are looking for a fun & relaxed atmosphere for an event.

A very cool spot, also attached to the Ghost Brewery. Great music, amazing pizza! Great beer. We will be back for sure. Go check out Ghost in the back, a separate brewery but owned by them. Have the Corn Mexican pizza and the 5th Ave. Freaking great! We used our Habitat for Humanity card for a free beer! Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!

My recent visit to Great South Bay Brewery was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the heart of Bay Shore, NY, this brewery offers an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blends craft beer with a sense of community. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious taproom exudes a laid-back vibe, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends or family. Whether you choose to sit at the bar or gather around one of the communal tables, you're sure to feel right at home.Of course, the star of the show at Great South Bay Brewery is their incredible selection of craft beers. From classic IPAs to seasonal specialties, there's something to please every palate. I particularly enjoyed their Blood Orange Pale Ale, which was bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. What truly sets Great South Bay Brewery apart, however, is their commitment to the local community. Not only do they source ingredients from nearby farms whenever possible, but they also host a variety of events and fundraisers that benefit local charities and organizations. It's clear that this brewery is more than just a place to enjoy great beer—it's a hub for bringing people together and supporting the community. In addition to their outstanding beer and community involvement, the staff at Great South Bay Brewery is top-notch. Friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft, they go above and beyond to ensure that every visitor has a memorable experience.Overall, I can't recommend Great South Bay Brewery enough. Whether you're a craft beer aficionado or simply looking for a welcoming spot to unwind, this brewery is a true gem in Bay Shore. I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more of their fantastic brews and soak up the friendly atmosphere.Cheers,Dennis

One of my favorite places to be. Great beer selection. Cool casual atmosphere. Friendly crowd and staff. I’ve been playing music there for years with my band, the Suburban Brothers. There is a nice size stage and an excellent house PA sound system with a mixing board, making it easy for bands to spread the sound out evenly throughout the venue. Always a good time at Great South Bay Brewery.

My husband and I have been to GSB multiple times and have raved about it to our friends from out of town. We decided to all meet up on a Saturday afternoon so that they can experience it for themselves. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 dogs, and the afternoon started off really well with everyone enjoying the atmosphere and their drinks. After being in a vehicle for over 2hrs just to get to GSB, two of the dogs had a bit more energy to get out of their system but nothing too vocal or violent. After the first bark, without an opportunity to even calm them down ourselves, the security guard already came over to tell us people are complaining and we should take the dogs out for a walk. Meanwhile, no one has gotten up to complain, in fact almost everyone in the building came over to say hello, as there was not a big crowd of people at the time. After the security guard came over, and the dogs were calm, he stared the group down for the remainder of our time there. In fact he and I made eye contact several times. At one point one of the dogs whimpered and he stood up all mad. A few moments later, when the smaller of the three dogs was overstimulated my friend stood up to take her outside and the security guard followed her out, telling her that “our party should get better control of the dogs or go to a quieter space”. This was unprofessional and she should not have been ambushed like this and singled out, while doing exactly what was requested of her - taking the dog for a walk. The security guard then came over to our table to reiterate what he told my friend and we asked to speak to his manager, as once again, we were stared at the entire time and I could see no one spoke to him with a complaint. The owner happened to be sitting at the table next to us, without us knowing, so he stood up and tried to assist by offering us another round of drinks. He was then “upset” we were leaving without taking his round of drinks saying “what, you had a bad experience so you’re just going to leave?”What would you do in this situation when you already feel targeted and uncomfortable? Would you stay? When I expressed this to him he shrugged and said “well, if you give me a 1 out of 5 I still pleased 90% of others”. Is this the type of person you want to support? My husband and I will not be back at GSB.Additionally, his reply to my friends’ review (who are sisters but were both patrons, so why does them being family members matter?) is absurd. The three dogs weigh 35lbs, 75lbs and 100lbs. Which dog exactly did we put on the table? I believe he’s mistaken us for the table next to us with a dachshund on the table who were also appalled by his and the security guard’s behavior. They also asked “what if it was a child crying? Should they be asked to leave as well?” and got no reply. As we left he and his table of friends cheered and offered us other establishments that “like dogs” and are “really dog friendly”.If you have dogs, think twice about bringing them to Great South Bay, unless they are stuffed or on batteries because that’s apparently the only type of dogs they truly allow.
