I went there last night with some friends. the ambiance & food was great! My only issue was that after two hours they where pushing out. Just as an FYI our bill was well over $700+ and finishing our second bottle of wine. Side note a table was empty near us.

We arrived early, knowing we would order from among the aged beef on hand. Cost was not an issue, as we were there to celebrate my birthday. While the starters were fine, our meal was poor, at best. Our Porterhouse steak arrived cold. We sent it back, only to have it returned barely warmed. The sides of loaded mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and toasted mushrooms were bland. Service was adequate, but the 70's music was unnecessarily loud. We found King's overrated and disappointing. We returned home for pie.

Food was delicious. My husband steak was $160 and our Friend's was $102 pretty steep. But delicious. We ordered cream spinach and didn't get it and they didn't replace it. The Waitress kind of just shrugged her shoulders and went “oh sorry.” The filet mignon was supposed to be 10 ounces for $58. It didn't look like 10 ounces ,but again it was delicious. I your got the scratch to spare... it's a nice place.

Great food with great friends! Service was great and the food was tasty! The only thing I would say our steak wasn't hot when it was brought to the table but it was flavorful and cooked to our liking!

Too expensive for the quality of food. Meat is either overcooked or undercooked and sides come out cold.

We dined here tonight and we were seated promptly. The server was pretty friendly and brought us our drinks quickly and took our order. The appetizer came out really fast only 10 minutes after we order which was pretty good for this place. One thing that was a big shocker is the two steaks that we ordered came out in under a half hour which is an incredible speed for steaks. The steaks themselves were alright, a little overcooked on one side but overall pretty good, they chopped it up for us even. The reason why I’m giving 3 stars for the food instead of 4 is the desserts. I ordered a peanut butter brownie and the peanut butter was just way too overpowering for me so I sent it back, that is what cost this restaurant a star. Now for the atmosphere let me explain the two star differences, one star was because it was very loud and I was unable to enjoy a nice meal with tables close together and people shouting. The other thing that I really didn’t like was the walls were covered by ugly wallpaper and green booth things covering the back of the wall which I thought was pretty ugly so that’s why I deducted two stars for that. Now the one thing that made the difference in my overall rating was the pricing, $90 for a ribeye is just ridiculous. I can buy one from the store for much less money and higher quality so that’s what did it for me. $255 without alcohol for two people is just a lot of money for two people and I can go to a different restaurant for 1/4 less of the price. I say this place is okay but it’s really expensive for the quality you’re receiving and they could improve significantly in food and atmosphere.Parking: There’s parking on Main Street parallel that you pay for or a lot in the back.

My wife and I like to try different places to eat every now and then. We found this place on open table and thought. Why not ‍. The waitress was very nice but the food definitely not worth it! Baked clams were the smallest I've ever seen in my life! Look at them compared to the tiny fork ! They were absolutely tiny! They tasted like bread crumbs on top of a baby clam and we're very mushy. Shrimp cocktail was OK but for $5 a piece definitely not worth it! There was absolutely NO salt in anything! Everything was bland. The cream of spinach was spinach with a watery white sauce. The Mac and cheese was so so. The steak ( which came out undercooked and had to get sent back) was a nice cut but like I said very bland! The steak sauce tasted more like ketchup than steak sauce. The worst of it all is after 30 minutes of being home I got the runs!Don't say I didn't warn you!

Very cool little place with pretty decor. The steaks were very underwhelming in terms of flavor and cut. The mashed potatoes were more runny than i prefer. The salads were delicious. The wine selection was surprisingly limited for a steakhouse. The server was lovely but the service was not to the level that i anticipated from a $150/pp meal. For example, the bottle of wine was opened and left for us on the table to pour ourselves. The steak came out undercooked and we had to catch her eye to ask for it to be cooked correctly, rather than her immediately checking in to see if they were cooked to order. So, my overall takeaway was that for the price of the meal, there are places that i would rather go. It's not a terrible place but not worth the price for dinner. I regret not trying one of the cocktails because if those are great than I would go for drinks and the salad at the bar.

My husband and I had a great dinner here. We had the dry aged porterhouse and it was amazing! It was cooked perfectly. The drinks were also great! Highly recommend for a date night.

Fabulous evening to celebrate October birthdays with my 2 sons and husband. My eldest celebrated his 30th and the chop house is where we indulge. Delicious food steaks cooked to perfection, great service, all superior! Drinks! Apps, dessert too. A fabulous dining option in Bayshore. Thank you! It's always special.

Total rip-off, they close at 9 we arrived at 8:10. Complete rush job. The hostess ignored us we had to find our own table. The steak was dry and more fat than meat. The waitress was pleasant but I feel because they was closing in 45 minutes every time I barely finish her anything she was taking stuff off the table. 138.00 nightmare. Gave her a 40.00 tip because I am not rude however would have gave the steak to my dog and I won’t ever go back. No wonder they are open 5-9 pm. Horrible service and huge prices, make the money quick cause God knows no one is returning for a second trip. Should have read the last 4 reviews prior to mine. I could have saved 175.00 on dinner for two. I had bar food at Changing Times across the street last month. 1/3 the price and better service and way way way better food. I be embarrassed to own this place. Staff worry more about conversating than twmj g care or customers. Oh yeah front side of menu is good, back side is all booze. They want you to get hammered to be okay with buying high priced dog food. Thank God the Mac and Cheese was good, but how can you mess up max and cheese. Total one and done, wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. What a joke and the place from outside looks so good. Thanks for ruining a good day.

Ambience was not that bad but food was terrible. So disappointed. Everything was overpriced and under seasoned or overseased. Drinks were not that great either. Staff seemed more concerned with drinking and gossiping. Worst steakhouse ever. Husband could not even bring himself to eat what was on his plate.

Ambience is cozy, chic, and inviting. Staff is very nice. unfortunately the food is overpriced (steak was $125), underseasoned, and undercooked. Truffle butter came cold and hard, difficult to spread on steak. With the price tag, we just didn’t expect to have to send back the steak and butter to be cooked more and warmed up. Left a little disappointed, but still wish them all the best.

Me and my wife visit a lot of steak houses on Long Island and we are very picky to say the least. KING‘s chophouse is definitely on the top of my list. First impressions are a big thing to me as soon as we walked in the bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Come to find out. He's also the owner. The full experience was an absolute win the food was cooked to perfection and very tasty. not to mention the outstanding waitress and way of service by Francine.
