9:30 on a Wednesday night strolling through Main Street in Bayshore just enjoying the night with coffee from the Milano Bean Cafe which is right across the street. They had just closed and me and my girlfriend saw a few seats outside The Cortland on the way back to our car so we decided to sit down for a few minutes to finish our coffee. It was kind of a chilly night and nobody was sitting out there. All of a sudden the Owner comes outside to tell us to get out of there if we weren’t gonna come inside to buy a drink. I thought it was awful. I would never step foot into this place.

Seems like this bar has a cute ambiance, but it's concerning that security doesn't prioritize customer safety. It's important to be extra careful and aware of your surroundings in this crowded and cramped environment. There are way better and safer bars on Main Street that you should check out instead.

Joe and Nora are the best! Friendly, attentive and fast.Great atmosphere. I felt like I was walking into a bar version of that 70s show. Definitely a place I'd bring out-of-town visitorsWill return without a doubt!
Amazing atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, tasty drinks, and the names of the cocktails were fantastic! Highly recommend for alternative or even music fans in general.
