Exactly what you want from a beach bar / restaurant. Great music playing, a nice breeze blowing through the open windows, and a bartender / owner knows how to mix humor and sarcasm perfectly. The drinks are delicious, the prices are reasonable, and it’s just a stones throw to a beautiful beach. The bartender went out of his way to help me find beach chairs as well. Absolutely loved this place and so happy we stopped in for lunch and a drink.

Worst Pina Colada I think I’ve ever had, the rocket fuel is okay but it’s not what real rocket fuel is meant to be, they should specify its tiki rocket fuel. Things are so expensive here but it’s Fire Island after all.
Just mid. Everything is overpriced and it’s nothing special even for the 12 dollars you’d pay for a drink. But then again what can you ask for on fire island?

Heaven on earth. Live music, fast food that tastes home cooked. Beer & cocktails. Friendly happy people. The beautiful sun & surf. No automobiles or trucks or buses. Only fresh clean air & good times.
Cannot imagine rating The Shack poorly. Where do you think you are, the Waldorf?? Skilled bartenders pouring great drinks (rocket fuels with the actual correct ingredients, unlike other establishments on the island!) Fun environment with live music on the weekend. Just steps from the beach too! Nothing better on a hot beach day!
