Excellent food, great service! There is no other feta cheese like theirs! We also ordered the white and black milkshake and Oreo milkshake delicious.

Staff was cool. The Salt caused headaches.A few reports of way too much salt worried me, but I had to see for myself. And oh boy the gyro is just way too salty.Th portion and quality is fine for the price of 15$. Totally understand inflation and the operating cost of everything. They maintained the portions. But the salt. Damn.

Huge portions and not complaining!! Some Greek Food restaurants try to cut costs and give smaller portions lately. I am glad Fontana did not follow this trend and stuck to the fact that Greeks love to feed people . My food tasted great and I was happy I had more to take home. The salad was super fresh and the Greek sausage tastes amazing. Awesome homemade tzatziki and Pita was delicious. Excellent service! You cannot go wrong coming here!

I had eaten at Fontana's many years ago and could not remember if the gyros were any good. I knew that was not a good sign because if it was good or great, I am sure I would have remembered. I was in the area and needed a quick bite so I ordered a gyro sandwich to go. Unfortunately, my concerns turned out to be correct; the gyro was just meh. To start, the meat is overly spiced so rather than taste the meat, you are just getting the spice and mostly the salt. This is disappointing given they have the real classic rotating meat, which got my expectations up. The tzatziki sauce is also a bit monotone with no real depth. I was also a little thrown off by the fact that there was no lettuce and no French fries/fried potato because if they were trying for really traditional, I would have expected the fries and if no fries, then why skip the lettuce? I am so sad that Grecian Grill in Farmingdale is closed because that was always my favorite gyro on Long Island. The search goes on for its successor...

Extremely disappointed! This has been a must go place for authentic Greek food. Been going here for over 25 years. It has been a while since our last meal here. Since Covid, we been placing orders to eat at home. Last night, we pulled out the menu. We placed an order that included a gyro sandwich, shrimp quesadilla, onion rings, grape leaves, and a large greek salad. To my surprise, the bill came to $75 which included a $7.50 tip. When I looked at the itemized bill, each item has increased by a couple of dollars plus a few cents. It looked like each item was taxed! And then the entire order was taxed! Well, was hungry so time to move on and eat The Greek salad was disgusting. The 3 small pieces of feta cheese tasted old and dried out! The dressing was sour! Went into the trash It was around $15. My gyro was the best and no complaint there. The quesadilla lacked shrimp for like $18. Wife trashed it. The onion rings were not the same as before. It was like eating mushy mix of onions and breading. The grape leaves were okay since it's obvious it came out a can. It seems that the quality of products have diminished while the prices have increased. They lost a long term customer.

Grew up eating here. When friends I grew up with return from Australia and Korea, this is the first spot we visit. Food is good and has been so for 25 years! Our go-to for gyros.

The staff(a good social), food( the food has quality seasoning), and service(we didn’t have to wait long at all); plus they have charging ports/outlets available… all is AMAZING; A must go try if you are in the Bayside, NY area.10/10A+Vegetarian options: Salad means that they do have a cheese so not Vegan but good enough to enjoy with olive oil or vinegar.Parking: There are about 10+ spots with free street parking as of 2.7.24-Wednesday.Wheelchair accessibility: A GREAT Concrete ramp.
