I went to a Chinese restaurant in Bayside for lunch on Sunday and ordered oyster jjamppong, but the oysters had a bitter taste — and they were tiny. It turned out they were old frozen oysters, which made them taste bitter and smell bad. I was shocked by how terrible the food was. It cost $18, but serving such poor-quality food to customers is really shameless. On top of that, the waitress spilled soup on me, and whenever I asked for something, I had to wait a long time. I’ve decided not to go to that Chinese restaurant in Bayside again.

Pretty interesting. Korean style Chinese foods.

Not authentic Chinese food, but quite authentic if you go to S. Korea.

The mandu (pot stickers) are good. And the jiang men noodles are great. The seafood stew was much better than expected. Great ocean flavor without smelling fishy or being overcooked.

It's a rubbish store. The service attitude of this store is super bad. The delivery driver has a bad service attitude when picking up the food. He doesn't even know how to package the food. He just gives the delivery driver a bad review. It's a rubbish store. I will never go to this store again. What kind of person would give a bad review to the hard-working delivery driver for no reason?

We used to really enjoy ordering from this place. We ordered taksooyuk to go but they forgot to include the sauce. We called them back and no refund but just free dumplings at the next meal.

Not fresh food.....

I ordered sweet and sour pork, but they gave me food that had clearly been fried a long time ago. I ended up throwing away the rest after trying a bit. I used to be a regular customer, but I’ve decided not to go there anymore.

Ordered two Jjajangmyeon and a seafood noodle. The food tasted good and the portions were generous even the small size had plenty of noodles for just $10, and the seafood portion was quite big. Service was decent, though nothing exceptional. The atmosphere felt a bit dated, and unfortunately, many other dishes weren’t available when we visited.

This Korean restaurant truly exceeded my expectations! The food is incredibly fresh and authentic, with every dish full of rich flavors. The BBQ was absolutely amazing – the meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly grilled, while the variety of side dishes was generous and delicious. The bibimbap was colorful and flavorful, with the sauce balanced just right. The kimchi stew was comforting, tangy, and full of depth, making it the perfect dish to warm the soul.

The atmosphere is just as impressive as the food. The restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated with a touch of Korean style, and the seating is very comfortable. The lighting creates a cozy and welcoming vibe, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with family or friends.

The service was outstanding as well – the staff were friendly, attentive, and always smiling. They explained the menu with patience and made the dining experience feel truly enjoyable.

Overall, I had an excellent experience here. This is definitely a spot I’ll return to again and again. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Korean cuisine!

Having passed this little gem many times while on romantic journeys into Flushing , I finally checked it out last evening ( 8/8/25) after dropping my lady off at home ....... and was I ever in for a pleasant surprise ! ........ I was absolutely charmed by the three little ladies who served me in this most gentle , accommodating and genuinely " East Asian " venue of the innumerable choices one has on Northern Boulevard ; in my many restaurant reviews, this the first time I've led off with such a remark . Ordering Japchae ( sweet potato noodles with shredded beef and vegetables ) so as to have something authentically Korean, the size of the entree was really eye opening , with the large serving plate heaped with far too much for one sitting...... and was it ever delicious ! Requests for one item or another were courteously and immediately met : how nice it was to have Jasmine tea with a meal ! ...... Seating was very comfortable, tables were well spaced, lighting perfect for reading, the music soft, the lavatory immaculate . One must use street parking, but Japchae fronts on a clean , safe little Asian neighborhood, so this should not be a concern ........ Does this place have some rough edges ? Yes , several : faucets need fixing and some chairs could use reupholstering , but at least everything is clean ! ...... Service ( my first consideration) , food quality, comfort and value matching or exceeding some much fancier establishments, a 5 star rating is no exaggeration . Driving home, I thought that if Charles Dickens or Mark Twain were to create a homey little East Asian place out of time, it might well resemble the Joong Koog-Jip experienced last evening ...... Looking forward to my next visit !

My go to place for Korean style Chinese food for the past 10+ years. The restaurant is showing its age. While the place is relatively newer than other Kor Chi restaurants but it still feels outdated can be cleaner.
