A-MAY-ZING - loved it, we had the ribs, zucchini wafers, porkchop and the lamb chops, everything was delicious. Service was also…you guessed it, amazing! Definitely coming back often to try the rest of this menu.

I always come here when I want to sit down and have the most delicious comfort meal. Although I might be Asian the food is absolutely satisfying and never to salty or overly greasy. The portions are always generous and filled with love. Service is always great and the waiters are super friendly. Ambiance is super nice and calm. Conclusion it's one of my favorites in my area. Try the shepherds pie and hot chicken pot pie you will love it. Everything is good here.

We were party of 8 and ON WALKING INTO RESTAURANT WE HAD TO WAIT TO BE GREETED. THE BAR WAS EMPTY BUT FOR ONE COUPLE HE BACK ROOM WHICH HAD A NICE FIRE STOVE BLAZING. THE RESTAURANT WAS A LITTLE COLD. WE HAD SILVERWARE AND NAPKINS ON THE TABLE AND THE WAITRESS DISAPPEARED?10-15 minutes later she came back and asked if we wanted drinks. Sodas and waters were brought .. She then took our orders afterwich she brought bread and as an after thought came back and asked if we wanted oill or butter for the bread. She did n't ask me how I wanted my burger cooked!? the group multiple dishes from shepherds pie to chicken pot pie bbq ribs and chicken francais chicken amalfi. All the food was underseasoned ! No salt, pepper garlic or added punch. I HAD THE HAMBURGER DELUX AND ORDERED A SIDE OF VEGETABLES. I HAD CUT THE BURGER IN HALF AND STARTED EATING IT AND GOT TO THE MIDDLE AND SAW IT WAS RAW! I CALLED THE WAITRESS OVER AND SHOWED IT TO HER AND SHE BROUGHT IT TO BE REFIRED.... aS AN AFTER THOUGHT I ASKED HER IF SHE COULD DROP THE BURGER CHAQRGE AS IT WAS A WASTE ANYWAY. AFTER THE FRENCH ONIOON SOUP I WAS PRETTY FULL. UNFORTUNATELY THE CHEF HAD ALREADY FIRED A NEW BURGER AND SHE RAN BACK VERIFYING I WANTED NO PINK IN THE BURGER! I GOT A NEW BURGER CUT IN HALF TO CHECK FOR PINK WHICH WAS HALF THE SIZE OF THE ORGINAL BURGER WITH A SMALL PORTION OF FRIES. THE RESTAURANT DOESN'T ACCEPT CHARGE CARDS OF ANY TYPE! I HAVE FOUND THIS TO BE A SIGN OF BUSINESS LOSS. OVERALL IT'S NOT A BAD PLACE BUT THE SERVICE YESTERDAY WAS TOO SLOW. ALSO NOT THE FRONT ENTRANCE HAS A FULL STEP UP TO GO IN. THE BATHROOMS CANNOT ALLOW A WHEELCHAIR TO PASS INTO THEM. HANDICAPPED PEOPLE WOULD HAVE TO BE LIFTED OVER THE STEP AND HELPED IN THE RESTROOM.Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian items and poor seasoning on those they have

We were a party of eight. Waitress provided no service for 15 minutes after we arrived and were seated! No asking if we wanted refreshments or water. Settings of silverware and napkins were on table. She came and took our orders after another ten minutes had gone by. The bar was fairly empty and I saw no reason for her delay. The orders were given of chicken pot pie, sheepheads pie, hamburger delux ( wherein she didn't ask how I wanted it cooked!),chicken francais, chicken amalfi, and a third dish of my sister in law that I can't remember. She then brought out the bread and asked if we wanted oil or butter? The oil was not olive oil and tasteless. My soup came and it was very good. My burger came and I cut it in two but did not check the middle first but started at the end to hold it together. On reaching the middle part of the burger I saw it was RAW as I Was able to mold it! I called the waitress over and suggested she just cancel the burger because everyone had finished eating by then and I'd have to bring the food home regardless! She said no and came back again telling me the cook was frying a new burger. Although after double checking with the cook...she verified that I wanted no pink on the burger. I got the burger which was half the size of the original one and a few French French fries on the plate and packed it! I had gotten a side of vegetables which were carrots and corn which were totally not seasoned but well cooked. The bill came to over $205.00 and we added a tip of probably $40/00 in cash as the restaurant accepts NO CREDIT CARDS. I have found if a place doesn't take credit cards...there is a cash flow problem and they are having business trouble. Restaurants are a hard business anyway but further even the on tap beer had no price listed until I asked the waitress and she told me the on tap beers were $8.00 each. Normally I get service and good food. The burger tasted good but raw in the middle is not appealing to me! It was unfortunate the waitress did not ask how I wanted it cooked to avoid the issue.

Maggie Mays is a wonderful local staple. It is an Irish pub with delicious food that reminds you of home. I highly recommend trying the daily specials, they never disappoint. Our waitress recommended the ribs and they were excellent. She was so kind and attentive. If you are looking for good food in a cozy atmosphere, this is your spot.Parking: There is a municipal parking lot next door.Kid-friendliness: There are kids meal options.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp available if needed.

This reminds me of the old Donovan of bayside. Wood paneled walks and reasonable prices. We went on a Thursday night and there were few diners. The standout meal was the pork chop, completely finished. The fish and chips were not as expected one big flat piece of breaded fish instead of battered coated. The fish and fries needed salt. The chicken cordon blue again differs from expectation as it was 2 flat pieces of chicken breast with a slice of ham atop and a mustard mustard Dijon sauce. It was very good as were the asparagus and real mashed potatoes accompanying it. Chicken Ala Maggie also had two pieces of chicken, covered with mushrooms, artichoke hearts and onions in a cream sauce. Bread is only given if you order an entree but they brought it to you(two pieces each) after your entree, very strange. Maybe they forgot. All meals were flavorful and hot. Only a few dessert choices but nearby Carvels was our choice. Service was slow strange as I said only two other tables occupied but there is a back room so maybe other diners were in there. There was a large bar in front. Cold outside but we were warm so good heating. Municipal parking lot at end of block with some metered street parking as well. Ladies bathroom was clean with two stalls but one lock was broken. MOST IMPORTANT cash only no cards.

This visit was for a retirement party. Bar service was brisk with a large group of over 60. The bartender kept up with everyone, including some other patrons not among the party-goers. He was exceptionally quick and very congenial. Wait staff and others who took care of us were quite attentive. Bathrooms are tight quarters but we'll monitored and clean. Our party was booked between 3pm and 6pm. We were allowed to remain a little longer, just as regular dinner patrons began to arrive. Once again, this was a lovely place for a party, which I certainly recommend.
