MOST RECENT REVIEW:
Masala Box in Bayside is absolutely delicious and truly one of the best discoveries we have made. We found them about eight months ago and have already gone back around four times because the food and the workers are just that amazing. Every time we walk in, the staff welcomes us like family, talks to us like family, and treats us like family. That kind of warmth is something I respect and love in a business.
I recommend this place to so many of my family members and friends whenever they mention wanting a great Indian restaurant because Masala Box never disappoints. And I have to rave about Henry again. He is the absolute best. I adore him, his quickness, his personality, his kindness, his attention to detail, and the way he makes every experience feel special. He is phenomenal.
Thank you Masala Box. I cannot wait to be back again!
FIRST REVIEW:
Masala Box is a true gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and welcoming service. A special shoutout to Henry, who went above and beyond to make my dining experience exceptional. He was incredibly sweet and attentive, making me feel right at home.
And the food? Absolutely phenomenal! I ordered the butter chicken with rice, naan, and samosas, and every single dish was bursting with flavor. The butter chicken was creamy and delicious, the naan was perfectly soft, and the samosas were crispy and packed with savory goodness. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better meal.
The combination of top-tier customer service and incredible food makes Masala Box a must-visit. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to everyone I know. Thank you, Masala Box, and especially Henry, for a wonderful dining experience!

Service and food was very great.
The flavors on each dish was so rich and delicious.
I had the Chicken bryiani medium spice.
The Chilli and cheese naan bread.
The samosas.
All was uniquely amazing to the taste.
Host and waiter was courteous and inviting.
Place is somewhat small, but tasty food definitely makes up for the close seating arrangements.

Ordered 3 dishes. Lamp chop and Salmon are fine. But the chicken tikka masala used cheap frozen chicken breast. So disappointed.

I first visited this restaurant back in January of this year, and I ordered a chicken tikka masala rice with a set of samosas.
This was the first time trying Indian food as a Japanese person myself.
The waiter was very kind and respectful even he even gave me the menu pamphlet, and it's halal as it said on it.
I'll recommend you guys to come eat at Masala Box! :)

Recommended dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan
Lamb chops and chicken flutes were 10 / 10. Also recommend the butter chicken and biryani dishes; everything we ordered was very tasty but would skip the garlic naan. Otherwise, friendly service and pleasant experience.

Been here two times and both times, the service has been really friendly. However, we waited a while to get our food both times, despite being the one of two tables there. The food tastes good though, but a tad pricey.

My wife and I came to this restaurant and ordered one chicken and one shrimp. One dish was to eat with rice and the other with bread. After a while, the food and rice came out, and the bread came out later, the waiter said. But until we had finished all the food, the bread didn't come out. All we said was that even if we asked the waiter, it would come out soon. We had no choice but to pack up the leftovers and come back home. So it was a bad Jumal dinner. We will never visit this restaurant again.
Delicious food
My book club chose to meet here for dinner and since we were a larger group (11 of us) we made reservations beforehand. The food and the service were great. My paneer saag was probably the best I’ve ever had, I’ve also sampled some of the chicken dishes (butter chicken, tikka masala, curry chicken, chicken biryani which all did not disappoint…really flavorful!) The rice was perfectly cooked and the naan was amazing. I found free street parking nearby. The restaurant is on the smaller side, considering our group took up a lot of space. Really lovely spot that I want to return to!!
Great food, nice staff
