Just an overall mid place. Ordered sushi and sashimi dinner which said came with avocado salad but didn’t. The salad was also questionable and tasted unfresh with a very weird sauce. When ordering a set meal the rice was nearly cold and unpleasant, the steak was also dry and barely any flavor. Honestly not worth it for the price.

Good ramen,and very good matcha.
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of trying the Japanese cheesecake that had nothing of Japanese like the server stated. Otherwise good.

Service was alright. Within 5 minutes of sitting down, we were asked if we were ready to order by 4 different people. I mean the menu was like 5 pages. The male server was friendly though. They cannot cook steak at all. We ordered ribeye don, medium rare, and the steak was raw. Asked for it to be cooked more, it came back well done. When we were still working on our food, we were again asked by multiple different people if they could clear our table. Despite these issues, the flavors were still good.

Nippon Cha Review
I tried the matcha lattes at Nippon Cha, and while they were decent, they weren’t the best I’ve had. The price was fair at $13 for two lattes, but the service was slow—it took 15 minutes to prepare, even though the café was only semi-busy at the time.
That said, I’m curious about their sushi, though it’s quite pricey. I might return to give it a try, but the slow service has me hesitant. Overall, a mixed experience, but worth a visit if you’re not in a rush and willing to splurge on sushi.
I come here at least 2 times a month and I ALWAYS bring a group of friends. Our bill is usually 200-250 and we tip always. It was my friends birthday recently so I brought her in. There was a barcode you can scan and order on their app and it is brought to you. We did that got our food and I got up to pay. The woman with short hair was cashing me out at the host stand and pressured me to tip. I tipped and I guess it was too low for her so when I sat back down she came up to me and asked why I tipped so low and I told her I was coming out for my friends birthday and I was short on money but it was kind of rude of them to pressure me. When I told her this, she goes “okay……”. I LOVE this place. I love nippon cha. I wont let this one experience stop me from coming in but I feel discouraged because I come here a lot and the way I was approached was kind of rude…

Great food. I have been coming here for over 6+ years and a ramen ambassador. Food hits the spot and is consistent. I also recommend the Japanese wings with the sauce and lemon. Their ice cream is also good.

Not a fan of this type of food, but I came here for my pregnant wife. And I would be adding this place as one of my go to places. Highly recommend

Beware of this establishment. I ordered some dumplings and lemonade. The dumplings did not come with the chili oil and the lemonade was not even filled properly. Oh and this drink is $10. Unacceptable and petty.

Completely unremarkeable dinner experience here. First, the server skipped over a clean empty table with comfy chairs in the middle of the restaurant and we were seated at a lone, dirty table that seemed to be randomly set up next to the sushi bar and in front of their cellar/storage door. Why there? I see that others have also complained about this table in their reviews. My suggestion is to get rid of the table. Squeezing more customers inside at the expense of customer comfort and quality service is a poor management decision.
Service was nonexistent and it was near impossible to grab anyone's attention the whole time except for when they gave us the check at the end. That was the one thing we didn't have to flag them down for!
Food was nothing to write home about. Save your money and go to the other Japanese spots on Bell.

Overall I like the food here but the customer service leaves room to be desired.
Not once was I asked how my meal is. No water provided. The server did not ask if I wanted my don to be over rice or soba. They would not remake my $32 dish with no avocado although the menu made no mention of avocado. I thought it would be an actual Japanese don with uni, king crab, and ikura, as listed. No manager to speak to.
With the amount of food options around here, I’ll definitely consider somewhere else before coming back again.
Highly disappointed.
